I'm such a weirdo. I took 'non-drowsy' Claritin one morning and was completely stupid tired at work. Took NyQuil tonight and my eyes just can't stay shut! Benadryl hypes me up, too. I'm feeling more like cold less like allergies, but at this point if the coughing would go away I'd sleep like a baby. . .

Ok found the song on the tape... and found the lyrics online but when I look up that song, it doesn't match the lyrics or my tape... so still not sure what the name of the song is...
Per: Darshan Lyrics it is called Darshan by Meg Christian; however, the few versions of Darshan that I found on you tube is of a different song.

This was the section that tugged at me today...

Quote:
None of my gifts can buy your smile
None of my tears control your touch
and every time that I need too much,
you show me the door that leads me inside once more
The song is mostly a love song.... here is the full song:
Quote:
Sitting here watching you
I want to cover my heart and hide
from the fire burning away my pride
melting me down to the gold in which I began

And I hope I can catch your eye
and I can't believe how much I care
but I'm learning that you are so aware,
no matter what you're showing your love keep flowing

and I just want to know
How could anyone be so beautiful,
so beautiful as you
and was all of my life of loving,
just to bring me to loving you.

Feeling my way from the darker side,
how did I know i could find a guide
oh but much to my deep surprise,
my future has fallen right into your eyes

None of my gifts can buy your smile
None of my tears control your touch
and every time that I need too much,
you show me the door that leads me inside once more

So I see I have just begun
a surrender I have never known,
you can take me far as I want to go,
and all I must do is sit in love with you.

And I just want to know.
How could anyone be so beautiful,
so beautiful as you
and was all of my life of loving,
just to bring me to loving you.
and was all of my life of loving,
just to bring me to loving you.

Morning couchies, hugs to those who want 'em. I've got very loud negative thoughts in my head this morning telling me I have no business doing my shamanic stuff tomorrow and I'm doing my best to tell them to shut the heck up. I wanna text t today for a little encouragement, she actually invited me to, but I won't. My stubborn self won't let me. I'm so stupid. See? The negatives are posting for me now too. Meh. Must shake this off. It's going to be a good day. Couch on!

well, it's gonna cost an arm and a leg to prepare for this exam and take it. i'm looking at around $550.00 in fees.

WOW!! who knew getting a career would be this expensive
my whole reason for not going to a university and getting a 4 yr degree was because of student loans
i know my fee is nowhere NEAR that though

guess they always end up getting you somewhere down the line...

Yeah, compared to 55k in student loans, 550 isn't too bad.

Ive been really busy the last couple of days, and I woke up this morning incredibly sore. I think today I'm just going to laze around the house. Hugs to the couch and whoever needs them

I have heard mds talk about the reason they did not become board certified in an area was because of how expensive the test was to take.

Hi, couch.

I am up and awake. Kept waking up several times last night for no reason. Just chilling now. I have a haircut appointment this afternoon and then CVS. I need a haircut badly. It;s been over 2 months since my last one and I am looking shaggy. I hate when that happens. Time to whack it back to where it is supposed to be. Lol.

In other news, concerning haircut, I had someone at work (yesterday) tell me that it was good I was letting my hair grow because girls are supposed to have long hair. Hah! Little do they know that it was not purposeful. Won't they be surprised next time they come in and it is back to it's "required" short self to please Squirrel. Customers, meh.

I wish I could have short hair but my face would look even rounder than it already does and my hair is so thick it would take a lot of work to manage it.
I don't like having long hair though. I find it uncomfortable and annoying.

T minus 1 hour before I have to leave for my haircut. Then after it, I will have to find something to do for about 2 hours before CVS...maybe a late lunch/really early dinner. Lol. I will figure out something.

I've always had short hair. I think the longest it ever got was maybe shoulder length. I've stayed short for decades now. SO much easier, and personally I like the look on me better than when it's longer.

Busy weekend. I'm grading SAT essays today and Monday. Tonight is Good Friday Tenebrae service and I'm playing bells and singing, so I'll be getting to church early and staying late for a quick rehearsal for Easter morning. This is the most important season of the church calendar for me, and the Good Friday service is the most moving service of the entire year in my book. And the Lenten hymns are incredibly beautiful.

Insurance did total our roof after the hailstorm, so now we're in the process of having contractors come out and give us estimates. It may be months before any work gets done though. A really large area took a big hit (actually about 3 hits in a week), so the roofers are booked. No rush. This time of year the storms can be wicked. Might as well wait until all the hail and wind storms pass.

My husband's wheelchair arrived yesterday. For a manual wheelchair, it's pretty nice (and it was very reasonably priced). We got him a seat cushion and crutch holders, so he's all ready to go. It's odd seeing it sitting here in the living room, but I'm glad he has it when he needs it.

So, I was going through my email and came across this that my mom sent me a while back. It's from my 1st grade yearbook. Yes, we did have color photos when I was a kid and my actual school photo was in color, but color yearbooks were still pricey, so yearbooks were still in black and white.

A first grade Squirrel. I was so cute. Heh.
