Can they fumigate the house before you move in?

T and I somehow got on the subject of toasting marshmallows over a campfire the other day. I don't recall how in the world that came up. But she was surprised when I said that I like mine burnt - I put mine right into the fire so it catches, then lift it out and watch it burn for a few seconds, then blow it out. Perfect!! I've never tried it with Peeps. I must.

Sometimes it takes a meltdown to get people's attention. Good to hear it wasn't wasted.

We got out of the store for $98 and change all total. And that included a bottle of wine for meeeee!

This morning before we got up, we were laying in bed talking and h suddenly mentioned that whole "I don't have to say (I love you)" thing again. I guess my little spectacle at our friend's house last weekend really made him think. We talked about it a little more, and cleared the air between us some more, so that was good. I'm cautiously optimistic that things are looking better in my marriage again. I told t the other day when we were talking about what happened last weekend at our friend's house, that during that blowup of mine I did realize that I want things to work with h. I told her, we've been together for 20 years (married almost 19 of them) so there must be something there worth holding onto. She said yes, there must be.

I still wish I could have gone to t's today. Work was so stressful this past week, especially yesterday... being in her office has such a calming effect on me. Ah well. H and I had fun this morning, and I'm getting laundry done now and deleting a ton emails that have built up and will do some baking this afternoon. A pretty relaxing day all in all. (Laundry is relaxing to me because the sound of the machines running is like a calming white noise, and I don't even mind folding the clothes... they're nice and warm when they come out and that's relaxing too.)

I don't think I ever said, but whoever created this couch, great title!!

Sounds like you've had a really good day! If you ever want to relax with some laundry you're welcome to come over

I've had termites! Try not to stress too much- I called an exterminator and he just came over and sprayed some stuff and set out monitors to see if they come back. It wasn't at all disruptive and cost a few hundred dollars, and they come inspect every year. One of the easier problems in my life to fix, though it was a little costly.

Here's a batch of things to try yourself if you want to - I can't vouch for any of them, but might be worth reading.

I can't do the multi quote thing on my iPad
The house belongs to the state govt I have to ring the maintenance arm make a report have it filter through to the appropriate person who has to have an inspection authorised by someone above them and I move I Tuesday. It's not gonna happen in time.

I am going over to the house now the grass is cut, before it was about 4 feet high and I wouldn't have been able to get near where the termites are supposed to be.

That sounds hard, but it's very possible the fix will be simple - I know sometimes fumigation is required but definitely not all the time. I didn't need to leave the house when they took care of it- I think the guy was in and out in an hour or so.i hope it will be that simple for you as well.

The ironic thing is the govt has legislation for private homeowners to have yearly termite inspections. This obviously does not apply to themselves.

Glad you had such a good day and that things are going better with your H.

Couch title was from me: I started it after a session with MC where my paternal transference for him was especially triggered--he was demonstrating ways for us to calm our daughter when she had bad dreams in the middle of the night and saying soothing things (like, "I'm here for you. It's OK. You're safe") in this super caring voice thing he does that just really hits me in certain receptors--the little kid ones, I guess.

I was a little afraid the title would keep Stopdog away though!

My partner has ruined my birthday celebrations.

I don't want to be with him any more.

I haven't wanted to be with him for years.

Maybe I never wanted to be with him.

I'm so unhappy.
