The new KFC commercials are not good- I find the new Col. Sanders is creepy.

I was just about to point that out! My sweet tea southern accent dripping with y'all and dropping g's off the end of literally every word makes people from all over the world think southerners are dumb. Look, it's hot as hell, we talk slow!

You guys know that's Rob Lowe, right?

I gather among KFC fans there are debates about who was the best Col. Saunders ever, kind of like the James Bond debate.

The best Colonel Sanders is OBVIOUSLY Sean Connery. No contest.

I love them all! I think Americans have the worst accents, with Bostonians being #1 (sorry any bostonians! i have family from there!)

I also hate my accent (Western/Upstate NY)

I live in upstate NY.. and I met a Canadian who said I sounded like an Canadian. I never knew I sounded like anything until I talked to him.

I cannot STAND the ad where the little girl keeps sending her stuffed monkey for a "swim" in a public toilet while mom changes baby brother. I leave the room, turn off the tv, change the channel, some or all of the above. I pray to god that woman has a drawerful of monkeys at home. Cuz i dont care what you wash it in. Eta - just needed to get that off my chest. So rob lowe, really?

General question. Do you like having a birthday? Do you tell anyone? What do you do to make the day go by? If you don't like it-- how do you cope?

"Hi Luc,

I appreciated the transparent nature of your email - it read as though you were talking, which I enjoyed. I was pleased to read that the Doctor seemed attentive to you and concerned to read that you felt sad and sick of it all.

I’m interested to know more about the part of you that is expecting something big and important to happen - perhaps you might like to discuss it further with me when we meet again on 22.5.17.

oh by the way…. Hello Luc, I remember you, you do exist (I’ve seen you in real life),

I look forward to seeing you on Monday.

Kind regards,

T"

Nope, hate it!! I try not to tell anyone about it. I take the day off from work and do whatever I want to do (read here: I hide in my house)

One of the many things working with T on.

I am okay either way. It doesn't bother me to have mine come around. I don't usually announce it but there are people who know.

Birthdays don't particularly bother me, but we have so many birthdays in the month of May in our house that they all kind of blur together. In fact, my birthday is the 20 th and my son's is the 21st. Yes, I was in labor for one of my birthdays; my son and I missed having the same birthday by only 2 hours. Around here, a birthday is a good excuse to go out for dinner.

Anais, I usually get extremely excited about birthdays - like a four-year-old. Friends! Presents! Cake!

This year was the first year when that didn't happen. I just wasn't feeling it. I finally understood how all those other people who don't like their birthdays feel. It was horrible.

But I did all the usual stuff anyway, invited people out for a drink, got my family together for a picnic. It was okay.

I love birthdays, other people's, and my own. I really enjoy cards...a well thought out card is my favourite kind of gift. Or a good book. Received a pair of binoculars this year from family...really pleased with them.

I hate mine and I can't understand why it happened to begin with. It's tommorow. I forgot until a few days ago but now that I remember I'm feeling far worse about it than usual, maybe because it's so close after mother's day this year which is another massively destabilizing day for me, idk.
