Sorry
You've come to the right place to ramble. The couch thread is like a Sienfeld episode. It's about everything and nothing in particular

My men are taking me out for Cajun food tonight for Mother's Day! My favorite activity -- eating out with my boys.

We've been busy today. I cleaned our carpets (one day I'm going to purge our house of carpeting, but it's not in the budget yet -- I hate them). Hubby's been dusting and mopping the tile floors. He and I did some grocery shopping and some laundry. Still more to do before company starts arriving for the wedding.

The guys are picking up their suits for the wedding in about an hour, so I decided to tag along and make them take me out for dinner. I'm not too shy or humble to demand what I want!! LOL!
Thanks for this!

oh dear...that can't be good to throw up from exercising! eek! I did once...but that was because I was extremely hungover and thought sprinting would be an okay activity to try. WRONG.

Also..that is quite a fine for going through a red light. I clearly went through one time and saw the flash. I enjoyed getting a picture of my car going through the red light I just got a regular traffic ticket...and certainly not $500!! OMG.

I saw my T in a grocery store today and totally internally freaked out..walked away fast and quickly exited the store.

Why is it so weird to see your T's out and about?

Yeah, I think I just got a $100 charge for getting caught on a red light camera (apparently, they apply to turning left, too). And no points on my license and definitely no requirement for a defensive driving course. I also got caught by a speed camera once, and it was a similar fine. Yeah, I loved the photo of my car as it went through the red light! Helped to have a photo for the speed camera one, since I was able to figure out where that camera was--I guess it's working a bit as a deterrent because I go more slowly on that section of road now.

No celebrating Mother's Day here.. oh well. MIL is not in the mood to celebrate, not really all that close to my own mother, husband is clueless.. and won't think of anything.

Son just had a violent meltdown and was sent to bed early, I am currently hiding in my bedroom.

So the other day during my session t and i were talking about one of the things I want to do - I want to visit my brother while he's still stationed in Germany. This is going to take some doing to save up the money (and the time off work!) So she suggested I make something called a "Vision Board". I've never heard of that before, so I'm researching them. I imagine it's just like a poster with pictures or articles or whatever to inspire me? I have the perfect piece of cardboard to use for it.

It's Mother's Day, my daughters are coming over later so to fill in time I am watching Cheech and Chong and The Blues Brothers.
Have whatever sort of Mother's Day you want.

Having a difficult time with depression and anxiety. We've had two beautiful days, so I made myself take my dog on a walk both days. Intellectually, I know it's a beautiful day but I'm not able to connect with the sights and smells. There is no way to savor it because I'm so depressed.

Tears streaming in session today.

I got a package from Amazon a couple days ago. I order lots of stuff from Amazon, so I just went ahead and opened it. There were two fabric bags inside that looked like they held jewelry. There was an envelope that said if I wanted to be surprised, don't look inside. The tag on one item said "Happy Mother's Day!" I was like "Wow, H surprised me. This is so sweet." Looked at the "from" part on the tag, and...it was a name I didn't recognize. So I looked at the front of the package. Turned out it was delivered to my porch by mistake and belonged to a neighbor a few doors up. I taped up the package and walked out in the rain to put it on her porch, feeling kinda sad... H never does anything special for Mother's Day (or V-day or other occasions), and for a moment, I thought he'd come through this time. But nope.

I feel like such a stereotypical wife being like "Why doesn't he ever bring me flowers?" or something. But I guess I feel taken for granted quite a bit...and then I also feel like, because of some mistakes I've made, I don't deserve to have him do special stuff for me. Talked about this with T the other day, and she seemed really sad that I felt that way. Suggested I let him know that I'd occasionally like him to do something special because he's thinking of me, but then, do I want him to do that because I asked him to? I do little things for him on occasion (like bought him a shirt that I thought would look good on him), but probably not nearly enough.

I suppose there's another marriage counseling topic that I can toss onto the pile...it just seems so minor compared to other things that I feel petty bringing it up.

My boys are going to look so handsome Tuesday. Two youngest's suits still need some altering, so picking them up tomorrow (long legged boys that they are).

Had a nice time and great food.
