I want to take off my "bandages/cast", leave my crutches at home and walk around like usually. Because walking around with crutches is attention seeking and it doesn't hurt THAT much.

Can someone please rewire my brain?

Wish I could, Demunie. 'walking around with crutches' might be part of your healing at the moment, rather than simply 'attention seeking'?

Naughty brain.

I am the same. People tell me i am blunt in real life. Everyone thinks I'm angry. My humor is dark and dry. I try to soften it online because I feel it comes off even more blunt and angry thru just text

Couch 141: The Inversional Hexachordal Combinatorial Couch

Of course, none of the caryatids in this pic are original, cause the British stole the originals from the Greeks with the help of the Turks over 200 years ago. Not to create an international incident on the Couch or anything.

Next Couch caper: re-steal the Elgin marbles?

People pay attention to that where you are? Come to Michigan, we totally ignore people on crutches. Strangers, family, friends - or it could be just when ive been on crutches, idk.

I mean, i could understand people who know me not wanting to help, but... ive always depended on the kindness of strangers...

Having spent my share of time on crutches, if you set your face in a fierce determined scowl and thump the crutches into the ground real hard whenever you can...people will just get out of your way. No attention at all.

I'm on the train with the nutty driver:

"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to MBTA's Green Line Service! We're cruising at a speed of 5mph with a slight drizzle here on the ground. Please keep all limbs inside the train and at every stop we're stopping at, please note that we will be stopping!"

"Welcome to MBTA's Copley Station! This like all other MBTA stations has connections to various bus routes! If you'd like to transfer to a bus, this and all other MBTA stations will be a great choice for you. For you new Bostonians, here is Train Tip #73: don't get stuck on the train! If someone is blocking the door, make some noise, because you'll never see them again! Thank you for choosing the Green Line."

"Welcome passengers to Boylston Street Station! Hey graduating seniors, who can tell me who Ward Nicholas Boylston was and when he was born? Your next train ride's on me! Thank you for choosing MBTA!"

Having to play tech support during a therapy hangover is so much fun. Yet again, there doesn't seem to be 'room' for me to be experiencing what I am.

Hugs (jdna), I know that feeling. Sometimes if I have some herbal tea or half of one of my anxiety prns I feel like my thoughts will be quieter, at least they're quieter to me, so maybe harder for other people to hear too.

This morning I messed up the mechanism that keeps the window open without crashing down. It's a simple fix but the mechanism is spring-loaded and I wasn't strong enough to counteract it properly.

So I called maintenance and they said they'd come in while I was out for the morning.

Anais's thoughts: oh my god it looked like an easy repair but I probably seriously messed it up when I tried to fix it, I shouldn't have tried, I shouldn't have tilted out the window to clean it to begin with, they're going to be mad and yell at me and tell me it's irreparable and then I'm going to have to pay for new windows, but this building is such BS, it's old and nothing fits flushly, of course the window was going to go off track, the latches don't even catch to begin with, and those ***holes are going to blame me for wrecking it

Real life: i get home. Window is fixed. Everything is back where it was. No drama.
