I am home from CVS and kind of fed (I had some popcorn). I got my annual review tonight. Pharm manager said I should be proud that he seriously considered giving me an exceeds expectations, but was unable to. Supposably, corporate dictates how many he can give each year based on how many techs he has. This year was 2. He said if he could have given 3, I would have gotten it. Dang corporate and their stupid requirements. He also had to give 2 needs improvements to 2 employees that were "struggling" the most. They make him base it on a bell curve. Makes no sense, but that is corporate for you.

So, I got a meets expectations, one point away from exceeds. I guess I should be happy with that.

Usually we press 9 to get an operator but a few major companies have purely voice activated systems and pressing buttons results in the system becoming confused and it cuts the call. Thankfully not many companies have these now but a few are still around. They also have a problem sometimes with my accent so any esl speaker is doomed I think

One time for my team leaders work anniversary, i actually gave him two voodoo dolls - one that his boss had of him (a ziggy doll with pins in its stomach, cuz he was always sucking down bottles of pepto-bismol), and then one of his boss, who was my friend. She was a very pretty blonde, so i got a Marilyn Monroe barbie-type doll, and dressed her in a gold blazer and brown velvet skirt. That day for the first time she wore a chunky gold sweater and brown cord pants.

Everybody (work party) thought we had planned the outfits, so they were like, no big deal - but we hadnt!! She. Freaked. Out. I was like, hey welcome to my world!

Hi couch. Well, I fell asleep after my last post and now woke up and caught up on the couch and am not tired enough to go back to sleep. It is quarter till 5am here. Oh well. I guess I could clean. I still need to do that. Or find another baseball book (maybe the history of baseball or something to send to my brother. I was looking yesterday, but a lot of them were hardcover and the jail only allows paperback because hardcover could be used as a weapon according to them. I guess a mad inmate could hit someone with it or throw it at someone, so I just have to find a paperback from Amazon or Barnes and Noble online. Those are the only two places the jail allows books to come from. Weird...you'd think they'd allow Books-A-Million online too as it is a real place/company, but they don't. Oh well. I can use my educator discount with BN, though I like Amazon as it will get to him faster as I have Prime and free two-day shippping. So the only real delay would be processing time at the jail.

Okay..I ventured out of the couch and found a few interesting threads. Now I am going to start cleaning. Really. I really am.
