Art, I know that you're missed by so many here, but I'm delighted to hear how well you're doing! You should be really proud of yourself for all of the hard work that you've done in therapy. I'm happy that you are.

Well, I just realized that I have not taken my morning meds. I slept in till 10:30ish though, so I've only been up an hour. Now to decide if I should take them or if it is too late in the day to take them. It is almost noon.

Art, a PC break can be good for the mind and soul. Especially if you are beginning a termination phase with your T, you don't want to read something, internalize it, and let it influence what you feel is best for you. Come back and check in whenever your comfortable doing so. Let us know how things are. You been here since the first couple couches so you got a lot of people old and new pulling for you.

Well so far metformin is being nice to me for the most part. So far I tested it out with PB on bread, a burger and fruit between yesterday and today. I haven't tried coffee but I'll wait till I'm off on Wednesday to do that. Tonight I will be eating lean turkey sausage and peppers so we will see how that goes. Also, Effexor is kicking in. I really hope I did the right thing by going back on it. I do have a bit of a headache and some very minor stomach pain but it's nothing that I can't work with.
Thanks for this!

Mom invited me to early dinner/late lunch. It might be good to get out of the house for a reason other than work. Lol.

I still need to clean off my bureau and night stands, but that is more organizing than anything. I can do that a little before lunch/dinner and some tonight. Also need to do laundry tonight so I have clean scrubs for CVS this week. I work M-F.

Hi Art!

Migraine is BACK. Wtf is wrong with me? I did the migraine every day thing from age 6-24. I really don't want to go back there and worked really, really hard to bring the frequency down to one or two per month.

I haven't figured out how to talk about my family in public yet. When I just do the smile and nod thing and act like I have a normal relationship with them, I go home feeling victimized, silenced, ashamed, deficient. But when I try to be a little more validating of myself it always goes something like it did today:

"Where are your folks from? Are you going down to visit this summer?"
"Oh well I don't really have that close of a relationship with my family, so I'm staying up here"
"Ohhh.... jeez, I'm sorry to hear that!"
(Anais desperately searching for some way to avoid the harshing of the mellow) "No, you can congratulate me, it's much better this way"
All: awkward laughter

This is why, as a general rule, I never ask acquaintances about their family.

Thanks for the update, Art! Glad to hear you're doing so well. Would love to hear how the termination goes, whenever you're ready to come back and post about it.

I am still waiting to hear back from mom about a time for lunch/dinner. She is so slow to respond. I am getting hungry, but I don't want to eat anything in case she wants to go at 2 or something and not be hungry when we go. But if it is going to be like 5 or 6, I will go ahead and eat something. Geeze.

Grrr....just heard back from mom...she was thinking late lunch would be 4:30ish. WTF? I would call late lunch 2ish. 4:30ish is early dinner. Grrr.... I am hungry...I have school work to do tonight, I've been doing a little now, but I need a brain break.

Pretty sure I don't. I thought the issue was more if someone had *me* on their ignore list. Though I don't know how to tell if that's the case!

No, it's only if you have someone on it and you start the thread -- they can't post on it then.

If you are on someone's list and they want to post, it's on them to take you off their list. I believe they can still post though.
Thanks for this!

The issue is if the OP has someone on their ignore list, the the ignored cannot post on the thread started by OP

The blondes at americas test kitchen have both gained a lot since chris kimball left. I find it upsetting.

Why? Women get to take up space in the world. I don't think it is healthy to starve to be a size 2 or 4 or anything.
