Sorry about the injury Bay. Is this the same injury as before? You mentioned a while ago that you had arm pain

Is it a torn rotAtor cuff??

Both my rotator cuffs are torn and need surgery but this is new. Got kicked in the forearm a few days ago by a patient. No fractures but with each day that goes by I lose more function in my hand. Dr said nerve is damaged. No change by Monday then I need to see a hand specialist.

Thanks for asking!! Glad you avoided the weird creepy guy.

Is there any atrophy yet? You really don't want your arms to atrophy. It's hard to recover from if it gets past a certain point

Agreed that you'll do good on the test. When I had to take a credentialing exam for my the field I got my master's in (not currently working in it) a few years ago, I was really freaked out and convinced at the end that I'd failed it. Instead, I passed by quite a good margin. Hope studying at your T's will help!

Since I woke up at 5:45 in the effing morning, I am having a very hard time staying awake this afternoon. I'm sorry, but that early in the morning can only be called effing. I have big plans to go to bed early tonight, and even more big plans to sleep late tomorrow. So I should probably stop cussing now.

BayBrony, I'm sorry about your arm!!

I do remember getting a CT scan, I was in the hospital on a wonderful cocktail of drugs and it was hands down the happiest I've ever been. I don't mean that in a pathetic way. I genuinely had the best time of my life getting that CT scan. The whole thing just made me indescribably joyful and I remember telling all the medical staff what beautiful people they were
LOL! I unexpectedly laughed out loud in a room of sleeping toddlers

I didn't like the CT scan, though. I didn't have any nice drugs for that. Being injected with iodine and feeling like I'd wet myself (I guess you don't remember that weird side effect?) was no fun at all.

But yeah, the MRI was indeed superlatively bizarre. Those noises! Wtf?
Yeah, MRI's are loud. I had one done with my head in, but I am not claustrophobic and luckily didn't need the dye.

I feel so left out! I had a procedure done last week to pulverize a large kidney stone in my body, and all the drugs did is make me sleep. I wasn't even exciting at all for my friend after the procedure. I felt normal, though I did keep saying that the ginger ale the nurse gave me was the best I've ever tasted! Haha. I was so thirst bc I hadn't had anything to drink since the day before.

Yeah, didn't even think of that. Glad your H will be there, and hope it goes ok.

Met with lawyer. Everything should be OK, just take a few months longer than expected - but it means he should be out if my life forever (legally anyway). He knows future ex's lawyer from law school and as someone more interested in resolution than in fighting in court. (Future ex may well be the opposite, of course.)

Apparently by paying for storage unit, phone, etc., for so long I have made myself look like a Very Reasonable Person. And judges like that.

Now I need to go to the storage unit and Verizon to finish la disentanglements.

I was really sick once and had a contrast CT done ( where they inject medication into your vein and it highlights your organs). I was super high on pain meds . The tech gave me the injection and forgot to put the cap bavk on my iv catheter. He stepped out and started the machine and it started spinning and blood was flowing out of my arm and spraying all over the CT machine like one of those spinning paint craft things they had in the 80s. I was so high I was like "whoa! A show!"
Then the tech comes running back in and I realize my arm was soaked with blood etc.
Bet the next staff meeting did not go well for that tech

I had an MRI done of my neck and even thought they told me my dental implants posed no risk, I was sure they were going to be violently ripped from my jaws during the entire scan. My jaw was sore for days from gritting my teeth! Next time I will take meds beforehand.

I had 2 mris. One when I was 16 and my brain was still fresh and new. Then one in my early twenties after heavy drug addiction. I really wish I could get the copies and compare. Maybe it would wake me up. Or not
