I rember reading a few years ago some bloke in Britain claimed to have only eaten baked beans for the last ten years apparently all he suffered was some vit B deficiency. It may be an urban myth who could eat the one food for that long!
Thanks for this!

I bought another TV for my office. I have a 43" samsung I use as my monitor (I know, I know I'm going to go blind) and I bought a 47" to use as a TV while I'm doing work. So I have 2 Samsung TV's in the same room, and guess what each remote controls each TV - how am I supposed to deal with this? Gah.... it's a nightmare, google has no advice on how to resolve this issue. The Choppers start playing in 20mins and I don't have time to fiddle with it right now but.... I hope I can figure it out eventually.

PS: Thanks, SD. It is difficult.

SPECULATION
Old people resent the implication that they must be incompetent just because they are old. And they hate to be irrelevant. So they are always on the lookout for an opportunity to make important decisions for themselves.

For many (of all ages!) it feels better to be a bad driver than to be a passenger.

Breakfast heaven = baked beans on toast. Especially, if you slightly 'cook' the beans from the can.

(Not British but 'tis one of the good things we got from them.)

Luco is it better to use public transport or hire a car? I had an internet friend who worked for Virgin rail and he said the trains are a bit dodgy , not Virgin rail of course.

DD1 made dirt cake today. Including teasing about how much legit dirt she ate as a small child and how this just isn't as good. She was not impressed. Tastes good but I am not an Oreo fan, which is good news for my diet.

Oh, we had breakfast for dinner, sans baked beans, but now I want some!

A cloak, and be sure to scream "Caaaathy" every so often. Plus glower at anyone who comes near you.

Una - cuticles can come out? And be pushed back in?

When in Britain I refuse to eat what they serve for breakfast. The "full English" just looks like clogged arteries to me.

No beans for breakfast Couch 144: The contact-miked cactus couch

Anyway, don't y'all love when you have a revelation about something going on in your life? Sometimes related to therapy, sometimes not. I was listening to this podcast this morning on the way to work and it was talking about the reasons why emotionally neglected children tend to associate love with money. Im starting to see why I'm so money driven.

But the real revelation was when I looked up the side effects of this medicine I'm on and two of the major symptoms are mood changes and drowsiness.

Now I know why I'm cranky and want to go to bed at 8:30. Even if I weren't cranky, though, I still say no to beans at breakfast.

I hereby contend that all American opposition to baked beans on toast is a direct consequence of insufficient colonization by the Brits.

(Then again, maybe I shouldn't be saying such things, given that my immigration background investigation has officially been confirmed as ongoing with no end date in sight and the purpose of which shan't be revealed either, because.........national security.)

We have also subverted muffins and biscuits into essentially their opposites from the motherland's version.

(Actually I meant more the fried tomatoes and three or four different meats in the full English, not the baked beans on toast - which I find intriguing, except I thought they were more a tea thing.)

It's probably your subversive ideas about therapy and therapists that make you a threat to national security.

The Brits weren't able to sufficiently colonize us because we're AMERICA. Couch 144: The contact-miked cactus couch

Also, please explain how chips are French fries and crisps are potato chips.

I don't want to go home. I am having serious trouble leaving the Applebee's where I stopped for dinner (no judging).

I do like how the British call dust bunnies slut's wool.

Eta: and speaking of the chips-fries-crisps conundrum, how did public schools become private?

Call or text and say you're just tired / visiting a friend / stopping along the way to see X place etc? Would there be a significant fallout?

Can't judge Applebee's, really.

So, t and I were talking today and he gave me an interesting perspective of the emails I send him. Which I thought I would share because it seems to be a hot topic around here.

He said that he likes to get emails from me because it shows that I am doing the work. He says he can tell when I email him I am really trying to process the things we talked about in session. And that's all he wants are patients that do the work.

I always thought even after all the reassurance that he is annoyed about my emails- but I guess he really isn't.
