Welcome to the couch, old and new! A place to hang out - sometimes you get immediate feedback, sometimes you don't.
Shouting, "Cool Whip" tends to bring others out from between the cushions if you're feeling lonely. This is a chatty thread. All are welcome. We're kind of psychologically oriented, sometimes. We try to be supportive. At times we discuss what that means. It’s a place to plop down on the couch when you come home from work or wherever, or wake up in the middle of the night, or check in at lunch, rant a bit or not, and be among friends. We advise you not to drink or drug and text your therapist ("T") - we speak from experience... Sometimes the thread moves fast and you might get overlooked; sometimes it moves slowly and all you hear are crickets. Sometimes you get hugged or thanked pages later. So if it's a bigger question, you might want to start a new thread. Grab a cushion, a spot on the floor, or an armchair in the corner (or with us) and make yourselves comfy! I have a decision to make.. what say you couch?
I am invited to T's son's graduation party, was invited by t's wife. I have not seen t since invited, but I kind of assumed that t and his wife talked about who they are inviting? I have been to his house before- definitely not while he was there though. So, this party- he will be there for sure.. and I am assuming his co workers. Including his office staff- and ts. Remember I have been going to his practice for 5 1/2 years. My son sees a t there and my h and I did MC there as well.. thinking that will be awkward.. like don't you think other ts would be like why the hell one is his patients at his house?? I am leaning towards not going.

I personally would feel awkward. Not because of DM but the rest of the practice there would make me nervous.

I would trust your instincts, healed. You know better than anyone the dynamics of your relationship with T and his family.
In other news, I can't sleep because I think I've finally realized that I'm sick, not just suffering seasonal allergies. I'll go to the doctor on Friday if I still feel bad. And I'm flipping out because I started a new medication tonight and my eyes feel funny when I close them. One of the super rare side effects is going blind. I'm going to watch the video of Bob Newhart telling me to stop it |

Evening couch.
I am home from CVS and fed. I got McDonald's on the way home for dinner. Grease... yum. lol Landlady's grandson is staying the night again. Geeze... I really can't say much though because it is her family and her house. I need to make some discussion posts in my classroom to be counted as active today. I still need to clean. I just don't know how to take the trash out discretely with her grandsom being here so much. I normally would take it out after she was in bed, but now he is in the living room till the wee hours of the morning. |

Last night I got myself to sleep with a combination of Ativan and a couple shots of whisky. I'm trying it again tonight.

Squirrel I would just take it out to suit my schedule. Your landlady is very nosy-I mean-interested in the cleanliness of your room. Maybe grandson will mention it but probably so absorbed in his game he won't notice. Good luck!

Also... I have like 15 cavities. I'm not even joking. I counted them. I made an appointment with a dentist tomorrow at 8 30am. I haven't been to a dentist in over 10 years.. Pocket riders?? I'm incredibly nervous and embarrassed

DD1 went with friends to see Wonder Woman, she texted me afterwards saying how amazing it was and how she's ready to kick azz now. When I was a girl I lived and breathed Wonder Woman and wanted to be her when I grew up. No wonder I never found my dream job, there's no listing for superheroes on jobs.com!

Saw the Countess. Talked about the stuff: unemployment, my mother, my daughter, my wife, my upcoming holiday.
I don't think it did much good.
