I was wondering... There's much to read on the couch. Do they have one mod who's job it is to solely read the couch?

I'm in... Tell me how it went? I haven't been since I was 8. Probably should go though, so. Good luck!

Hope it goes well, JD! I'll be in your pocket for sure. I'm another person who hasn't been for many years and really needs to... Hopefully you can motivate us all with a good experience?!

Waitress Munie, I need coffee and cake asap...
Thanks for this!

Just looked through the stuff I'm supposed to do until my exams in August.

Jep. No way. I have 7 exams. I probably need the whole time just for one subject.

Really unfortunate that it's too hot for blankets right now...

It IS a lot of subjects. The couch is for venting, complaining, whatever I don't think you complain much.

I'm OK, tired Slight headache, hope I end work soon. Had lunch with someone whom I reconnected with . He asked me out for lunch spontaneously today. Normally I don't do spontaneous haha!

Hmm, coffee for you too then?
Well, did you have fun? If yes, that's all that matters. Spontaneous (took me 3 attempts to write that word...) can be a good thing

I'm planning on eventually making a trip down to a place well known for selling affogatos (dessert involving ice-cream with espresso which has gotten really popular here). Baby steps haha, going to new places is challenging.

I had fun, it was good to see him after we mended our rift. And I'm happy he is still willing to rekindle friendship. Not just because I've very few offline friends hehe

What are you up to?
Thanks for this!

Affogatos? Cool name. Never heard, but sounds good. Take your time. I think it's great that you want to discover new places. Affogatos sound like a good reason to go though

Trying to study for a while, I guess. Then go to see T and tell him how I dislike his pdoc (probably won't, but I like the thought)

What helps you focus when studying? I realise I was never taught how to learn effectively, and rote memorisation is apparently ineffective.

I wish you could change pdoc! My T has heard me complain about my ex pdoc. She kinda rolled her eyes with me at some of my stories around his paternalism.

Hm... I use "pomodoro technique". Basically focus on studying for 25minutes and then take a break. I usually try to start studying with topics I like for the first 25minutes and then change to whatever I actually have to study. It get's easier once I started. Unfortunate that there isn't one topic I like this semester...

I think rote memorisation can be good for some things... I mostly try to write good summaries (if allowed at the exam) and then solve exercises / old exams. If there's something I can't solve I look it up and add it to my summary. Most subjects I have are based on lots of math, so no way to "just memorise everything". Most formulas get easy to remember after you've had to write them down a 1000 times...

Good luck I'm really not a math person, so kudos to you

Maybe one day I'll return to university to study a social science

Hihi. If I could just do what I want and not worry about consequences / if I was able to work in the field I study... I'd change to social science, medicine or psychology in a second

Maybe in the future? I don't know much about university except that it's expensive. My sister completed two degrees and the degree in between was almost completed.

Studying here is ok... I pay around 600$ for 6months. If not for the living costs, studying is as good as free in the whole country

So yeah, maybe in the future I will. ReplacementT told me that the average age for psychology msc. was around 45, so

Good morning y'all.
I agree, life is too short to not pursue what you want.

JD, I hope it goes well at the dentist. I would not be the best pocket rider, because I'd be in your pocket having a panic attack--haven't been to the dentist in years and kinda freaked out the last time I went with D (let H take her the past 2 times).
Thanks for this!
