They're like extra-super conditioner, mostly for people whose hair gets very dry.
You can buy premade masks but recipes to make them yourself are just as good, maybe better.... usually the indgredients involve things like oil, avocado, banana, oatmeal, milk, egg, etc. You cover your hair with the mask, either wet or dry depending on the recipe, and then let it sit for a while before washing your hair, usually around half an hour or so.

It didn't go missing, but I do not have it anymore for the time being. I left it with some friends because I am moving around so much and worried it might break. Also I am only bringing one bag to Europe and it's a tiny carry-on sized one..... no room for it in there. So I made the painting instead. But I miss the ocarina

I hope you don't experience any of the side effects, Demunie.

T is running late. I am already annoyed. This isn't helping.

Morning couchies, feeling better this morning about the death of my beloved Pastor. He was ready to claim his wings so to speak, had been ill for awhile, and I don't begrudge him that at all. He will be missed though.

Anyway! The last detail is taken care of for my trip back to the midwest next week, I reserved a car last night. So I'm set for my trip and can't wait to see my girlfriends - it's been too long. We have Friday evening through Sunday afternoon to get up to all the shenanigans our little hearts desire. They play some game called Farkle, I've never played it but apparently I must learn lol. The wine will be flowing since we're spending 2 nights at the condo, and everyone's bringing different snacks and desserts and we'll be ordering pizza and stuff. I can't wait to see everyone. So far there's 8 of us confirmed and maybe more will come. I've known most of them since 1988, crazy huh.

I recently went to Whole Foods but didn't see these. But then again I only passed by the bakery and didn't really stop and look what they had.

Every whole foods I've been to has been different. The one where i live has more cookies. These would probably be even more scrumptious homemade.

Awkward situation poll:

Say you owe (owing is slightly debatable but you believe you do) someone some money.

By mutual agreement, you're no longer in contact with said person (no heart-ache on either side).

You have your bank send them a check but say it doesn't get cashed for a while.

There's some trickiness with said person's mailing address due to which you suspect, they may not have received it.

Do you?
1. Contact them regardless to see if they got it

2. Cancel the earlier check and re-send it -- this time by certified mail or something.

3. Let it go.

Would your answer to the above change if said person was a potential T you saw once and the money is for cancelling the second session with less than 24 hours notice? And, potential T thanked you for offering to send the money i.e., is expecting it?

And, would your answer change any further if potential T and your current T know each other (current T knows who potential T is but potential T doesn't know who current T is) and current T thinks you should just chill the eff out and not worry about the fee beyond having sent it and yeah, not contact potential T again to ask about it?

Long story short -- I'm racked by guilt every time I believe I owe someone any money and for whatever the reason, can't prove that I've fulfilled my obligations super quickly, so to speak. But, not sure if in this case I'm over-thinking it.

I doubt she will though? She'll just assume I didn't send it despite saying I would (typical 'check is in the mail' kinda thing)?

So if she assumes you didn't send it and she wants to be paid (and most therapists do, No. 3 notwithstanding), she'll contact you. She has no incentive to ignore it, and she has incentive to pursue it.

If it's you/not me, I would let her contact me, knowing I did what I said I would and let it go.

As me, I would walk around with an invisible shield of slime thinking that someone out there thought I hadn't honored an agreement. And I would do this until I told someone I know who would tell me to let it the eff go and who the eff cares what anyone else thinks, especially if I did what I said I would do and btw, also tell me they were glad I'm still in therapy because this is nuts.
Thanks for this!

Just checking -- were you born in Asia in the late 70s?

Coz it sounds like we share the exact same brain. Like exact.

ETA: Also, if you happen to believe -- despite the fact that you did what you said you'd do -- that you're somehow totally at fault and really just intrinsically evil and cannot be trusted for even the smallest of things and so on and so forth, we will not need any further proof of the fact that we're basically just twins.
