((Capt)) am I remembering correctly that you have problems with your eyes? Flashing lights and headache could be a migraine but could also be a detached retina or posterior uveitis. You need to see your ophthalmologist urgently.

The most common type of visual migraine aura looks like a tiny sparkly dot that slowly gets bigger, turns into flashing rainbow zigzags and creates a blind spot. Did it look like that?
Thanks for this!

I got my laser surgery done in June, so my eyes are quite ok now...
No, it looked like bright flashes in eyes corners. Now it gone. I still have a headache, but not so bad

Yeah, that's what I had when I had posterior uveitis. You really need to get that checked out.

Thank you for caring... Did you have any other symptoms?

Anyway, I don't care about my health...

Yes, though I think most of my other symptoms were caused by the inflammation in other parts of my eye. I saw lots of floaters, had blurry vision, and eventually my eyes both went completely bloodshot.

The more common cause of flashing lights is retinal detachment, though... That's considered a medical emergency too.

Please please please see someone you may not care about your health right now but you might well in the future. I have seen you worrying about your vision before and that is what is at stake here...

I have no insurance, no money and no motivation to go anywhere. It was the first and the last time, I don't think it's something serious.

"The future", you say? What future?

I'm really sorry for whining so much lately

Why did you ask if you should be concerned? I'm saying that you should but it doesn't seem to matter anyway. If you asked then some part of you must care...

You're not whining. Not any more than the rest of us are, anyway!

informal couch poll: if you said "i love you" to your t and they responded "I know", would that bother you? i know there are couchies who would never utter such a thing to a t, but for those that would....?
Hmmm.. i never would. Way too embarrassed. Imagining a response is even hard. That being said, I am recognizing I have a big projection - transference thing going on with my T, so I describe issues with my h to my t and can say, "I love you" that way. As in, "I love H so much, but ..."

Thanks for this question!!

Hugs to all for a nice easy Sunday...

Went to the America concert last night. I was transported back to the 70's in every GOOD way possible!! They did I Need You, Lonely People, Sandman, Daisy Jane, Sister Golden Hair, Ventura Highway, You Can Do Magic, A Horse With No Name, etc... it was the BEST!! I went with one of my friends and our sons - when we bought the tickets, our husbands were going to be going with us, but then their golf trip came up on the same weekend, so we took our sons instead. It was really wonderful watching my son as he watched their bass player (my son plays bass) at this one point when he was really really gettin' into it - my son had a look of almost pure rapture on his face during that solo. I hadn't seen him smile like that in a very long time. America's music is quite a far cry from the stuff my son listens to (think Megadeth, Iron Maiden...) but he LOVED it last night.

Now I want some Oreos, even though I had some of the golden birthday cake ones this morning.

I guess I'll settle for a burrito. H makes up rice, refried beans, black beans, jalapeño corn, and tomatoes and mixes them all together. Add some cheese and this time I bought a spicy mango salsa to accompany. They're delicious Couch 153: Couch slouch

I just made a quiche. But my brain is so fried and I'm so out of it I forgot to add cheese.

So what do you call a cheeseless quiche?
