T went alright. We talked about the certain people privileging my brother's mental pain over what he did to me. I think I told her a lot of the different things those people have said. She said their words are BS and belong in a BS bag.

I read a blog and it occurred to me that I have compassion for his "wounded inner child" but not my own "inner child". She was very firm about how him being abused doesn't make his abuse of me OK.

Talked about assertiveness with those people. I reiterated boundaries with that friend. She took it well...surprisingly. She said she has memory problems so she might forget my boundaries and we talked about that...

I have these kinds of reflections too. They confuse me, because relationships with people come easily to me( trauma is my issue), and I don't usually feel so paranoid. This is definitely vacation focused- Christmas is going to be hard. It is bc after all that intimate stuff, they take no responsibility for how humans feel in every relationship outside of therapy. I feel like he is a fraternity guy who didn't call after promising to or something. . . kind of discarded after a long intimate promise.

My boss changed plans for today, so I didn't have to cancel T!
I would be seeing him in 20 minutes, but I have to wait 4 more days

I gave permission yesterday for my therapist to talk to the substitute T I'm going to see while he's on a 2 week vacation over Christmas. He said he would tell my story with compassion. I still wonder what he told her though. It's making me feel anxious knowing that they're talking about me, even though it's better that they do. He also reassured me that he was 100% sure that she wouldn't say anything hurtful to me like "why did you stay with him". I'm so nervous to meet with her.

Hugs - I sometimes have a substitute T when T goes on vacatoin too. T talked with her before hand too - I can't promise you that it will be the same way, but it went fine for me. The subT still asked all the normal questions, let me decide what I wanted to tell her - maybe her questions were just a bit more focused because she knew what my history was (less "fishing" for information I guess).
