Blondie’s gotten a bit insistent that I come in 3x a week (it’s not the money — she seems to be swimming in it, not to mention is totally lackadaisical about filling up her slots given her tennis and other activities).

But, it’s like she’s running out of ideas — I told her I bombed a major job interview by showing up 15 mins late coz I couldn’t bear to get out of bed (sick + anxious and wasn’t sure if sickness was coz of anxiety) and then generally told her how debilitating the stress / anxiety feels. She said I look really chilled out and calm....duh.

I’ve told her I’m not coming in more (I can’t anyhow given $$$ + my schedule). But, it’s just odd — she’s never gotten this forceful about what I should do schedule-wise.

In other news, crazy neighbor left a typed note on my windshield (in time for it to get soaked by the rain that I could barely read + it was in a weird cursive font) saying that she was totally looking to offer to close my entryway but I’d beaten her to it and so, could she pay for it? I’m creeped out more than anything else — nevermind that she’s a 64 year old.

What does the neighbor's age have to do with her paying to put up the fence thingy/

The being creeped out was with respect to (despite rather) her age.

But is there a cut off age where people cannot put notes on cars or offer to pay? I am not getting the connection between age and notes about fencing and cars. Isn't her offer a good thing? Is it creepy because she is 64 or is it creepy despite 64 and more understandably creepy if she was 30?

Thank you, pocket riders

I was pretty brave. Took me half the session to get there though. And I only mentioned the jasper in the last ten minutes.

It was a good session, I think? I'm not sure. Different parts of me are feeling different things. It's confusing.

I’ll try to explain as clearly as I can —

The reason I’m creeped out has nothing to do with her age — it’s despite her age i.e., one wouldn’t (I hope) under normal circumstances be creeped out by 64 year old women.

However, what did creep me out is the following —
1. I’ve complained about her dogs a few times.

She’s not only not done anything but has been aggressive in defending said not-doing.

This has been going on for many months.

2. I complained to the HOA.

She retaliated by discussing loudly under my window a few times about the “allegations without any merit”.

3. In the meanwhile, she has commented — very creepily — about —
— The fact that I put up blinds as soon as I put it up;
— The fact that I put up the gate as soon as I put it up.

Most creepily leaving me a note after said above passive-aggressive loud comments within my earshot + doing nothing about it all these months + aggressively defending (actually straight up lying) her dogs’ behavior and pointing out that it’s not a problem even when they show up on my patio after I’ve repeatedly said I don’t want them there.

That’s a whole lot of boundary-breaking = serious creepiness.

Where serious creepiness is not something I’d expect to feel from a 64 year old.

ETA: Her offer is far from a good thing — it’s an arsehole-ish thing seemingly disguised as a good thing (see creepy boundary-breaking passive-aggressiveness).

Sure, we can get into the same semantics about what’s creepy or not for a 30 vs 64 year old by asking about all sorts of other behaviors as well — why not expect a 64 year old to behave the same as a 2 year old? After all, going by your logic, where do you draw the line on when 2 year old behavior is not acceptable from a 64 year old? Or, maybe in your reckoning it is? It’s a meaningless argument.

I wasn't arguing anything at all - I was asking because I did not understand the age part.

I would live in the country away from all neighbors except I would end up being the crazy cat/dog/horse/pig rescue person who took in any animal that needed a home or got dumped.

Awk - yeah, its definitely passive-aggressive. As for the age, its like when my ma started to claim she was smart cuz she was so old, cuz old people are supposed to be wise, right? It was funny because she actually did NOT persist in that one - she must have seen something in our faces that told her that piece of bull crap was not going to fly.

Depends on the test. If it's for diabetes you do, most others you don't. They likely would have told you if it was necessary!

Also could make a difference if for cholesterol. I think the main thing is if you didn't fast, you have to tell them. Because it would affect how they interpret the results.

Thanks Lucozader, she said I should fast, but I thought that was unusual for bloods. As far as I know it’s not diabetes, think it’s just a general one
