Ack. I don't see this sort of thing being handled responsibly. Particularly since I cannot imagine how responsible and such a picture would ever fit together.

Thanks @@. I've been in touch with someone on a grad school forum who also applied to the program. She had a half hour phone interview back in March but has yet to hear from them (even though they said they'd let her know in a week...). She e-mailed the head guy on Friday, nothing. When I e-mailed the same guy a few months ago, I didn't hear anything until the call a few weeks ago requesting an interview. Maybe he responds better to phone calls than e-mails (he's not like 70 or something, incidentally, closer to my age)? Might just try calling him later this week if I don't hear anything.
Thanks for this!

Trying to think of best way to explain it...It's basically health promotion and prevention. Thinking of the health of the community as a whole. So, say, promoting vaccinations, for example. Trying to reduce infant mortality. Finding ways to deal with chronic diseases that affect large populations of people, like diabetes, heart disease, etc. So looking at health on a bigger scale as opposed to a medical doctor seeing individual people and treating them. (If anyone else on here is in public health and wants to offer a better explanation, go for it!)

I saw it. I think they care more about who you are today. Plus, the fried green tomatoes excuse works for just about anything - youre older and have better insurance!

Finally got my fridge fixed, I think. It shouldn't leak inside anymore at least.

Leaving to spend time with Mom on Wednesday. Super long drive, 20 hours over two days.

At my T's request (suggestion?) I set up an appointment with someone in that area to see while I'm staying with Mom.

She seems to be in good spirits and she's doing a second round of chemo this week. It's going to be a long drive.

That is a long drive. Do you listen to books on tape or podcasts?

I decided to have a glass of wine after all. It is SO tasty. Arbor Mist Exotic Fruit white zinfandel.

I must be learning something in therapy. I did regulate my emotions pretty quickly this evening. Sat here almost-crying about the whole grad school/gpa thing that I deleted but evened myself out without getting to actual crying. how about that.

I've got 3 books on tape and one is Anne Rice so I think I'll have enough to make it most of the way.

I also like to sing along with the radio (I have satellite radio so I won't be stranded with nothing but country music or Christian stations thank goodness).

I'm worried that I'm by myself with my dog and I'll have no choice but to leave him in the car for five minutes while I'm on bathroom breaks.

Spoke too soon on the fridge, it's still leaking inside. I'll just have to unplug it while I'm gone and worry about it when I get back.

Have you tried going on holiday? It's easier to get pregnant if you are relaxed.

They are both retired now. I stopped seeing the woman in November and she wrote to tell me she was retiring in Feb. The second one had a family issue arise and retired with only about a month's notice. She is still doing stuff but not calling it therapy. Hence my continuing to write. I had started the grief writing a couple of months before so it does not really seem like much of a change to me except arranging to meet every so often.

I feel like I passed out and just woke up from a 3 hour and 20min nap and now it's 2.05pm. That's the last time I get into bed with a textbook.

Only 4 more hours till I see R though.
