I generally find that when I try to tell my anxiety that it's not welcome I just end up feeling worse. Your anxiety is trying to protect you, even if it's being very misguided.

I know it might seem obvious, but would it be possible to go somewhere quiet and take some time and space to just breathe? Or is there something nice you could do as a distraction?

I’m making peach cobbler. And after that cleaning the kitchen, cooking with peaches being messy.

Hey, una, you might want to snap me up while I’m in this domestic mode.
Thanks for this!

It's basically scaring me about stuff I can do nothing about, like the latest events that are on the news, like the whole America and Iran thing I'm trying to distract myself in chat and on the forum, idk yet if it's working or if I should step away from the computer and go do something else

Going to hide behind the virtual couch

Idk - my mom used to cook and then my dad had to clean up after her. Then when i lived with her, i got his job. She took my cleaning up as a signal to mess things up again. Thats why i never clean. Thats why i depend on the russian ambassador's "henchmen"

I’m full service—I do the cleaning too!

So long as you don’t mind a couple of pushy, spoiled cats.

I do have a crook, but fortunately I was not required to have specific -ess duds.
Picture me more like the farmer in Babe.
The herding trainer I took my dog to for sheep and ducks said she spent most of the movie Brokeback Mountain critiquing how the dogs were working.

I want to know where anyone finds peaches worthy of cobbler-making so early in the season?

Gift basket sent from my sister in CA. They are on the small side, though.

Peach juice stings if it gets squirted in your eye, fyi.

But apparently I do make a mean peach cobbler.
