I think you two might need couple's counseling already.

We would never be able to agree on what couples’ counselor to see. She’d want a Freudian and I would want someone logical.

My phone and internet are both out at home. Boo. I need to email the instructor a copy of my transcript to see if he'll accept my Intermediate Algebra class on there as the pre req for his Psych Measurements and Statistics class next fall. The advisor I saw today couldn't do it even though I have a BS degree said the instructor would have to. I composed an email on a word doc so once my internet is back I can send it.

I hope. The advisor couldn't do it cuz the course number of my Int. Algebra wasn't found in their database as corresponding to their Int. Algebra.

Gosh I'm impressing myself w this emotional regulation stuff the past couple days. Seriously the advisor turning me down today thing would have made me cry even a month ago. I'm so amazed. I got the info I needed and smiled and thanked her with sincerity, said have a great evening & came home to write the email. I know it's a stupid little thing but I'm proud of me.

Today on a very old Ed Sullivan, Bob Hope did the Sand Dance but not nearly as well as our aussie friends ever did it.

The intake appointment was difficult. Apparently this is only 1 of 3 appointments. First half hour was reviewing documents that I had already read and signed which I found very frustrating. The second half hour we got into symptoms. I got triggered and cried. I try to squash away some of these memories and talking about them brings up all kinds of stuff. Telling these kinds of details to a stranger makes me feel very vulnerable. Fortunately, my regular session was an hour after this one. I have intake #2 next Friday. I expect it will be worse as we get even deeper into self-harm and suicide stuff. I hope I can arrange some communication with my therapist for after this meeting, because I suspect I'll need it.

Couch, a large peach margarita and some rest isn't helping today. I cried at work, completely humiliated myself and discomfited my supervisor, not to mention looking even more incompetent as a result. Damn stupid instinct of mine, to cry when angry and frustrated. At my age why haven't I buried that one yet?

The good news is I'm off tomorrow. The bad news is going in on Friday doing the walk of shame will be even more uncomfortable.

Thanks for listening.

Courtesy of my mother, I just learned a new word, haptodysphoria, an inability to tolerate the feel of a peach.

Here, SM, have some peach cobbler to go with the peach margarita. Provided of course you don’t have haptodysphoria.

Now I want fresh peaches. One of my favorite summer desserts is peach cobbler with blackberries.

I've never heard of brining beans, but then I limit salt, so if I came across it, I'd probably skip over it. But they're not tough? Or do you then use a pressure cooker?
Thanks for this!

Nah, an uncle of hers had it.

Etymologically, it should refer to any discomfort around touch. It’s what SD has around therapists. Well, one of the many things SD has around therapists.
