Thanks for checking in, Art. Your family sure has had more than its share of hospital visits this year, but good for you to get them all out of the way in the same year. That's super efficient. Also...tax write off!

Whew Art, I was worried about you! Glad you are feeling better. How on earth do you get staph in the face? (lol, that seems like that can be turned into a joke by someone smarter than me)

I think she’s comparing you to Ann-Margret.

Piaf told me today that I should write like Bugs Bunny running over a cliff—don’t look down, just let gravity do its job. But isn’t it Wile E. Coyote who’s always running over cliffs?

I think all the Looney Tunes characters run over a cliff at one point or another.

Not unlike real life, in that way.

yeah, totally. Bugs Bunny did nothing noteworthy that I can remember. I think we can forgive Piaf for this American bastardization of cartoons. '

I really do think it odd that she finds talking about your relationship so horrifying. I get that some T's don't focus on the relationship between client and patient, but to be so anti-relationship seems strange.

I am attempting to make oven turnip chips with the salad turnips I got in the weekly veggie box. We get a bunch every year. No one likes them except me, and I only like to eat about half of one before I'm good until next year.

So I thought I'd try to turn them into something folks in my house will eat, and if I end up with something inedible then I only wasted a little soy sauce and garlic salt. They'd have just ended up in the compost anyway. Crossing my fingers that they turn out.

I've had staph on my face. I was cleaning the house and guess picked it up on my face. It looked like a flesh eating disease.

So I texted t my update earlier, she offered a Saturday appt if I get out tomorrow. I said no thank you, but now I think I want it after all, so will probably text her tomorrow to ask for it.

Nurse will be in shortly with my next round of antibiotic (I'm on 2) then they'll let me sleep for a bit.

Night, couchies.

See - this was an appropriate use of quotation marks.

LC - good lord. (I cannot bring myself to use the quote feature here. Now, go think about what you have done)

Mischief managed.

Ooooh, turnip chips! Now that sounds yummy! Seriously. I love turnips, but how often do i make stew?

Ann-Margret's husband died recently, Roger Maris? He was one of the handsome gents of 77 Sunset Strip, one of my favorite favorite favorite shows. Thats the type of show we used to watch instead of westerns.

I've been fighting off depression all day. So far I'm winning, but I had to make and eat a bowl of chocolate icing ("frosting" to my American friends).

When sleep is so healing, why do they not let you do that in the hospital?! I was finally asleep enough to be in the middle of an interesting dream when boom the lights come on and I hear 'hi, it's Teresa from labs' I'm all 'go away I gave already' haha

Me and my trusty IV just ambled back from the bathroom and looking at my poor face again. I wonder if it's morbid curiosity about how bad it looks that made t offer me a Saturday session? My mom was shocked when I texted her a pic. I've never seen anything like this in person before.

I'm hungry, guess I'll eat my banana from yesterday breakfast....
