I hear you. I've sat through some required insurance webinars that were mind-numbing in part because the person's voice was boring. Hope it's not a long webinar!
Thanks for this!

Can the webinar person see you too?

Could you do what they do in all the movies and just put a photo of yourself up in front of the camera, then proceed to the kitchen and make a snack?

Reason for why you're not blinking= it's too awesome!
Thanks for this!

I personally would like to do the same, just get away for a bit. We have forest holidays and Center Parcs in the UK. You are the expert on yourself and what is best for you, but I can understand his concern. Maybe you could come to a compromise with him.
Thanks for this!

[A consultation about what? Her screw-up? My hearing? And, oh, what a waste of her effort!]

"I recognize that my words were hurtful. That was not my intention. I tried to work through it with you in session, and I am sorry. [For what? And her idea of working it through in session while I sit there crying and worrying everyone else in my life feels the same way, is not apologizing or reassuring, but first to claim she meant something else (that I ask too many questions to clarify, like the "about what?" in the first paragraph), to change the topic of conversation, and then to just sit there and stare at me without even trying to do anything.]"

Then she encloses a check for $100. What happened to the bill that she said would be returned? Is she making interest off it in an account somewhere?

It is a good thing the only thing I planned to do today is get my Lupron shot later, then, since that renders me useless for anything else, go home, change into pj's, watch baseball, and eat whatever I want for once.

I wonder if a therapist gets hurt if someone punches them? (No, not gonna do that.)

Just sending you a bunch of hugs, tisket

(not sure if hugs come in bunches or what the collective term for a group of hugs is)
Thanks for this!

I was reading this thread on another forum (mumsnet- even though I don't have kids) yesterday. All about how our UK chocolate has gone down hill since it was bought by Kraft. Someone posted that chocolate was supposed to be a luxury treat not an every day item.

It should be the same as vegetables....

I've cut back a bit now though.
Thanks for this!

Today I am doing stuff that is about as boring as grading. I had to get that stupid webinar done, my syllabus, my first lecture notes etc.

Me, too. The work is monotonous, and I didn't really want to be here today anyway, so that just makes it worse.

Any plans to go home and smoke something or light something on fire? What ever happened with your solar panel experiment?
Thanks for this!

Applying for other positions as well, most recently for Quality, found out about 15 minutes ago one of my teammates got the position. I'm happy for him of course, but they didn't even interview me which miffs me a bit. Oh well. I'll keep trying... it's not that I don't like current job I do but our workload is way down and I want to find something else before they decide they have to downsize and put me back on the phones...

I'm feeling so down and negative my energy probably scared them off without even an interview anyway... sigh. I don't like feeling this way but I can't shake it.

Sorry couch. I'll just hide between the cushions for a bit...

Last night my elbow suddenly began to hurt and today when I looked at it in the mirror it was one giant purple-black bruise around the elbow and spreading down my forearm.

I don’t remember doing anything to cause a huge bruise like that.

I am at home doing these things. I don't go into the school until I have to teach or have a meeting.

It has been too rainy to test solar much
