That's standard in the UK, in the NHS. Unless you are a child under 10, an adult over about 70 or immunocompromised.

My therapist asked if we could move our session today to a later time, said it was okay if I didn't want to, then mumbled something about he'd have more time in the office. At first I thought it was so he wouldn't have to rush me out the door at exactly the end, and that made me feel good, but now I'm wondering if it's more for his convenience. I wish I hadn't thought about this more. He did tell me to reach out when I get the dreaded phone call telling me my dad has died, so I know he does care.

We had a funny moment yesterday in session when we were discussing what should I do when I got that phone call. I thought for a moment and said "close the window so the neighbors don't think I'm a banshee". He laughed at that and said "you should be a banshee here" and I told him he'd need more tissues for that to happen. He responded that he had a whole cabinet of tissues. It felt nice that he would be accepting of me outright sobbing, but I'm not sure I could allow that without feeling embarrassed afterwards. Has anyone really let go when you're crying in therapy?

I really should not post in the middle of the night. I feel better this morning. I finally got back to sleep by imagining t drumming for me. Thanks couchies for your compassion n hugs.

On another note, I just did a like 20 minute training presentation here at work on a webex that I got voluntold for. Couch 180: My lead was on it too and he said I did well but I felt like I was babbling. I had 0 notice to prepare, so...

The only time was the last phone session with my former T when I cried all the way through it. It was embarrassing.

I'm glad you feel better this morning. And I'm glad your presentation went well at work. Those are always stressful to me!

You just start feeding your boys some lentil chili and they will both perk up soon.

I recently discovered canned ham. As in, instead of tuna fish, small cans. Over grits. With fruit. Am i southern yet?

Eta - "Voluntold" - good one.

I have been reading blogs and other writings and wonder if someone who criticizes others while pointing and congratulating themselves about how enlightened they have become, is really all that enlightened? It amuses me when people are both smug and snarky do that and claim that therapy worked at the same time. I read one blogger, who seems very earnest, just because of how much it amuses me.

So wish I was taking a nap this afternoon, instead of working....
I'm surprising myself by how much I am wanting to see Tony the Tiger T. Maybe it's the month and six days that's bringing on these feelings. Oh well. Monday is coming. Kit.

I wish students would not quibble over every little point on their grades.

This student in particular will likely get an A anyway, so why demand an accounting of everything?

Maybe I should suggest she visit the University counseling center?

She also wants to meet frequently to “go over” her notes. Which are fine.
