I guess - i have a biological clock, a circadian rhythm. Its just that its a year long and only syncs up with the world on exactly this one day. Namaste.

No - too much dark.
And it takes the pets forever to get used to it. I will spend the next month convincing them that it is okay for breakfast to be late.

I agree to the dark part, I always find myself "Ready for bed" by like 630pm this time of year LOL

And yes to the pet thing! Happened this morning already.

I am confused—isn’t saving time what just ended? And now we’re on standard time?

I have heard that all the time changes were due historically to Congress not wanting schoolchildren to be standing at the bus stop in the dark in the morning.

I know I am in the minority here, but I love winter and the cold.

I always thought the time change was for farmers but the children thing makes more sense.

I dislike the dark, ice, and being cold.
This info seems reasonable:
History & info - Daylight Saving Time, early adoption, U.S. law

I loved time changes when I was a kid. They just seemed so fascinating. Like latitude and longitude.

It also messes with my sleep. I sleep better in light than in dark so more darkness just means I sleep even less - which as a chronic insomniac - is not super fun

For those who love dogs and live in the USA, I HIGHLY recommend this new series on animal planet "Amanda to the rescue" about this woman and her family who help special needs dogs. It warmed my heart last week and I already liked her and her family within 5 minutes of watching. Such a lovely show

I was particularly annoyed by the time change because it meant that my 14-hour night shift turned into a 15-hour night shift, and they definitely didn't pay us any extra *harumph*

(trigger for whining about hospital/medical crap)
Possible trigger:

I think this is why my mom went into radiology. (Also that she didn’t have to have much contact with patients.)

I have difficulty with phrase 'daylight saving' there are still the same number of hours of daylight. Its like people who fool themselves by putting their watches forward by 10 minutes or watever. It would be good if you could 'save time' by taking a hour from one day and transferring it to another.

Once an occ health and safety person once confided that if there were to be occ health audits in hospitals they would have to close them all down. We once had an MP ask in parliament if such a thing could occur

I was up most of the night. Not sure who was snoring louder-my husband or dog. I finally went to the couch at 5am and slept solid for an hour or so.

LonesomeTonight, I was skimming your Dr T thread because your posts about your sessions always have a lot of detail of what could go on in a therapy session. I just wanted to say I think it’s awesome that you are able to handle a thread that has that many responses and so many different perspectives. Your therapy process is a hot topic when you post about your sessions. I don’t know if I would be able to handle that much volume.
Thanks for this!

Day 2 of my cold.

My neurology teacher joked that I looked like I was dying. xD ( Fear not- I didn't touch any patients though and stood as far back as I could.)

Ho hum I'm feeling sorry for myself= wasting time not studying. I googled a girl I went to school with. This was the girl I was super attached to all the way through primary school. Then when we were best friends at 8 I changed my mind and said I wanted to be alone. She ended up as a writer, like she always said she wanted to be. "11 best restaurants in X."

I was googling the MRCOG exam. Obs training is a full 7 years after two year foundation training at hospital.
