My sister asked me last night if I could be with her when she goes into labor. I feel so honored. She's pretty sure she doesn't want her ex there, but doesn't want to do it alone either. I just hope the baby doesn't come around my T sessions! But if it does, this is more important.

I'm so excited! New baby, baby shower, Christmas. It's funny, I love giving gifts, but I'm not big on receiving them. I feel embarrassed for some reason.

Why did they bring a live RAT inside? And why didn't they finish the job? Why did my daughter stare into it's beady eyes and count it's whiskers? Just before it ran down the lamp and under the couch and she screamed like tigers were after her and commenced the panic attack.

Would anyone like a cat? Or a rat? I'll keep the traumatized small child.
With screaming like that, the cat and the rat are probably also a tad shaken up

Thanks I was ready to go cry and beat myself up for how badly I did after, but my PI talked to me right after to tell me he was impressed and "proud of me"
I was so sure he was going to be disappointed in me.

Writing is a good thing long term because it helps me process instead of ignoring things, but in the short term it definitely brings out a lot of strong feelings and makes it more intense. It was writing that started bringing all this stuff to the surface over the last few months.
Running triggers migraines for me... Think that would count as a form of SH?:P
I go out for "mindful" cigarette breaks when I need to collect myself lol. I could probably do the grounding mindfulness thing without the cigarettes, but there are much worse ways I could be coping too.

Raining here as well. I don't think it counts as desert since I'm literally a mile away from the ocean right now, but it doesn't rain very often.
We just got a flash flood alert that scared the **** out of me because I was listening to music on my phone with my headphones, so even though my phone was on silent it played the emergency alert sound through the headphones really loudly.

So. I just had my last session with L. We hadn't planned on it being such, but... it just kinda happened as we talked. Mostly it came about because of a dream I had over the weekend, that she said was the dream she'd been waiting for (I guess now I know what a 'termination dream' is!) I feel.... calm and settled, as I told her when she asked how I felt about it. I'm really so very glad that I went back at the end of July. She and I did some amazing work together over the past 7+ years. I have no regrets. None.

And now, Artie is truly "swimming on". Into the future!

I saw my therapist today. She threw me a little bit of a curveball. Not really of her making or mine, but something significant that I've got to figure out how to deal with. We spent about half the session talking about it. I came home and was suddenly so overwhelmed by the whole thing that I burst into tears.

Sh**, I am tired of trying to figure out how to find a balance that keeps this family safe and stable.

AND the garbage disposal crapped out.
This day is ridiculous.

Maltesers are quite popular in my country as well. Rather delicious, but straight chocolate is still better xD

We use the word treacle, just not to refer to a foodstuff.

E.g., “Love, Actually” is pure treacle.

Interesting. Is it used in the knowledge of its original meaning do you think? I am wondering because its metaphorical meaning is sort of sickly sweet isn't it? Like treacle.
