Yeah, I've definitely been sleeping in and napping as necessary. As far as T, most of the roads to him from my house were treated, so it should be safe to get there by tomorrow. Seeing him online though? I don't think I would.

My session with R was good.

We talked about the movie the lion king 2. I quoted the bit " as you go through life you'll see there's so much that we don't understand, and the only we know is that things don't always go the way we planned."
I said that he'd be simba. The point was that I could act out but I knew that he would always be there.
He got Simba's fathers name wrong.
He larfed and called me his biggest headache.
I told him that I hated all his other clients.
I cried- he covered his eyes to which I said I had trained him well like that Pavlov guy. ( I hate crying in front of others).
Told him that I was angry at him and didn't want to see him next week.To which he asked me what I wanted- I said to go back to two sessions.

I'm supposed to go to a team lunch today and I don't want to go. It's just me and the the four guys I work with. The problem is I'm a total mess and I feel on the verge of tears at any moment and I don't feel like socializing right now but I have to go.

We also have an extended team thing on Friday with 12 people which I'm dreading. It's a team meeting with a team building activity and lunch and is supposed to last for 4 hours. It's required unless you're sick or injured, so basically have to attend. This week sucks.

Perhaps you could you go to the lunch today but cut out early. You could fake a phone call by setting an alarm with a different ring tone on your phone before hand. It might be easier with the larger group to just let them get on with it.

If you did ask for exemption would a note from T suffice?

Hi Couchies. Back from my long weekend, and the worker's comp audit is over from this morning, yay! I just about have my inbox cleaned out, so making progress. The long weekend was mostly good. But spending four days with friends is a bit much for me, an introvert, and one of my friends really let me down on Monday which has left me in a bummer mood. I'm also a bit stressed because my health insurance changed on Dec. 1st (thanks work) and the insurance isn't covering the anti-depressant, and I have to get pre-authorization for the anti-psychotic, and ADHD medication. Fabulous (sarcasm). I don't know what I'm going to do about the anti-depressant. I just saw my pdoc last month so I don't know if I will need to go in to see him, or what. My office manager called our health insurance broker on my behalf to see if she can talk to the insurance company about getting it covered. I'm kind of stressed out about it. I missed my pets so much this weekend that I was away. It was hard being away from them even though I know my parents took good care of them. Still it was just hard. I'm not up for another long weekend for a while. Disneyland was great though. Not too crowded in the early morning but got pretty busy around 11. I only stayed until like 3 PM. It was time to get out of the crowds. Glad to be back on the couch. I missed everyone!!! Kit.

Thank you, Lemoncake. It means a lot.

I'm home now, staying in tonight. I have a big thing tomorrow morning, which T knows about (we've been talking about it since September-ish) and I was really looking forward to having today's session with her and talking about the details, so it was kinda disappointing to get that cancellation text from her.

And now I'm also worried about her. I want to ask her if she's feeling better, but I can't do that. Let her have her privacy, right?

I can understand the disappointment especially before a big event. I hope you can stay calm.

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer per se- it depends on your relationship with your T. If out of session contact is normal for you guys and it stops you from worrying and spiraling I'd message.

I'm glad you enjoyed Disneyland! 4 days with loud people can easily lead to sensory overload for me. Perhaps you can do something shorter next time?

How many days until you run out of the anti depressant medication? I don't know how the US system works, but could you possibly pay for the medication privately and have them reimburse you later?

I think I have about 25 days left of my anti-depressant. My office manager is working with the insurance broker so I'll see if they can get any results. If not, I may have to see my PDOC to taper off the meds, he can probably get me samples and then he might have to put me on something else. It's just annoying because I was feeling pretty stable with this stuff, but paying out of pocket would probably be several hundred dollars and that's just not possible. I just hope that I don't end up having to go off all my meds and start over with new meds. We've worked too long to get me this far with the meds. I hate insurance today. But I'm probably also in a bad mood. I'm just stressed about it. Kit.

Sounds familiar, my girls get as much pleasure out of a cardboard box or hiding behind the curtain or in the cat carrier than they do actual toys

My cats dig plastic bags out of their container and play with them for hours. Boxes are a big hit, too. I have one who chases her tail ha!

One of mine is obsessed with catching any unsuspecting tails that venture too close to playful paws

My other girl hunts shoes and takes them under the table to attack the shoelaces

One of mine was just in the bathtub lying on his back when saw one of his back feet and freaked and attacked it. He bit it. The look was so funny.
