I have realized I have a wheat sensitivity and have stopped eating most things with wheat/gluten (tested by eating part of a delicious baguette after going completely wheat/gluten free for a month and the resulting intestinal response was as swift as it was ugly). It is, of course, nothing like having celiac disease, but I have been having a lot of fun playing around with gluten free foods. I am using a lot of almond flour (from my home made nut drinks) and a lot of chick pea flour. Plus these rather tasty brazilian cheese puff things that are made with yucca flour.
My niece has celiac disease and after they got the house sort of straightened out (and got one of the siblings to stop trying to torture the one who can't eat gluten by eating pizza in front of her) -they seem to be doing fine with it. Even my sister in law who can turn any small thing into armageddon type of disaster scenarios with her as the victim/hero, has had to give up the martyrdom stance on how to feed her child who has it (reluctantly and she swiftly went on to some new thing she could climb on the cross about).
I know it won't be fun to deal if it is celiac, but I would be happy for you if it was not one of the even worse scenarios.

I have a big work project due on Friday and no motivation. Procrastination is a curse. Actually I am procrastinating by writing this.

Therapy tomorrow, so maybe that'll help some.

Good thing I already gave up Oreos, huh?
If you can bear it yourself, I would actually take the trouble to confirm. The reason I say this is that you will be at higher risk for iron-deficiency anemia, osteoporosis, cancers, neurological problems, and other autoimmune diseases. The risk goes down after removing gluten for some of these complications, but not all. I don't mean to be all doom and gloom - my point is that it's usually good to know if you're dealing with celiac because then you and your doctors will be more aware should you develop symptoms of something else that benefits from treatment - especially when there is a better prognosis depending on how early it's detected.

On a lighter note, the people I have met who have celiac say that cutting gluten from their diets was a game changer in terms of how they felt. They just felt drastically better once they knew and had instituted the correct diet. They didn't even realize how bad they'd felt until they could look back. So if it is celiac disease, you can look forward to feeling much better.

P.S. I'm not so sure that the endoscopy is to confirm celiac so much as it's to rule out other causes as well as to determine the extent of intestinal damage, but I could be wrong. Although many people with celiac have intestinal changes specific to the disease, not everybody does.

Yeah, I’ve been wondering if the fatigue I’ve been feeling since last summer wasn’t the result of over-exercise or work stress as I thought but a symptom of this. Guess we’ll see.

I hope its *just* that (not that it isn't bad enough on its own)

I hope so? I processed a bunch of stuff, so purely in that sense, yes. They teach you a bunch of skills, its just me being able to do them alone. And my T there made me a calendar with a bunch of different ideas of things to do, so maybe that will help. I don't know.

I hated the depp version, the little bit I tried to watch. Way way creepy. I love gene wilder though. I didn't know there was a new version. They should leave the classics alone huh!

I loved the Depp version, it was perfect for the Roald Dahl creepy vibe, I thought it was really well done. (And it is a creepy story. Factory owner lures children with chocolate and they meet horrible fates, after all.) The Wilder version is so sanitized and saccharin, it gives me cavities.

But at least he didn’t use catheters on the kids!

I think there is just something simple and comforting about the original. The newer one just was too weird and out there for me.
