They are probably like the oatmeal - they eat regular corn, which might have gluten particles on it, etc etc, are processed in a non-certified-gluten-free facility. Its not so much that they DO have gluten, its that they cant say that they dont.

"You'd think that the rotisserie chickens sold in grocery stores should be gluten-free, but most are not.

The culprit here can be a light dusting of flour on the skin of the bird to make it crisper, gluten ingredients in the spices, rub, or sauce used, or even just gluten cross-contamination in cooking and packaging (many stores cook and sell fried chicken right alongside their rotisserie chickens)."

Well, some part of you probably wanted to do it at some level? Some part sneaked out. Leaked out, is how it feels when it happens to me. He really should have kept you there talking about it that day. My t asked me at least 3 times, saying stuff like, "this is YOUR choice." I at least had a chance to think about it for 30 minutes. Sounds like you didnt even have that. I went back and forth in my head, and i was like, no, if i can leave, i dont want to come back.
Thanks for this!

I can relate. I was all, "is this happening? This isnt happening." But i kept thinking of a cat slinking out the open door and thats me getting away, the door is open. If i can get away, i wont come back. It will be different, it will be sad, but i wont come back.

Can you get back to what you were thinking at all? What you were feeling? I think thats whats important, no matter what the next step is.
Thanks for this!

Still really struggling with this latest bout of depression and associated “bad” thoughts. I think it feels worse because I had been so stable for so long depression wise and then bam get hit with tons of anxiety and depression follows shortly after. It sucks. I have literally only talked to t about how bad it is. It’s so lonely, but I am not sure how to tell friends how depressed I am without scaring them or thinking I am telling them for attention.

Gah, went to make some hardboiled eggs for lunches. My grandmother taught me to put vinegar in at the height of the boil to prevent the shells from cracking. So I had to look up if distilled white vinegar is gluten-free. Complicated answer, but yes.

It seems like it’s easy to avoid mass amounts of gluten, but very hard to avoid trace amounts. People eating gluten-free for personal preference might not care about the traces, but I have to.

When I lived in a sharehouse I accidentally used the bread knife belonging to the celiac. I must have left a crumb or something on it because next day it looked she swallowed two whole watermelons and she looked like ****

Boy, here people would file a complaint for malpractice and wrongful termination. I kinda remember thinking that when it first happened. Thats pretty clear cut. He seems aggressive in cutting you off while youre talking. So its like, do you really want to go back to someone like that? Its a good thing he is quitting, not taking on new clients. He is burnt out.

I think you would be able to work with someone who isnt such a horses butt.

My Easter nemesis has arrived at Aldi's, straight from Germany: Choceur's Dark Chocolate Marzipan Mini Eggs. I'm not even a fan of marzipan generally, but these are the best candy ever made. They also come in milk chocolate, but I've not tried those. And there's nothing "mini" about them. But hey, 2 provide 10% of my daily iron, so nearly a health food, right?

Speaking of Cool Whip, the recent Rachael Ray mag has a way of dying eggs using gel food coloring marbelized in Cool Whip that looks great. I haven't dyed eggs in decades, but I may try this. Finally, a use for Cool Whip!
Thanks for this!

Any Aldis chocolate is my nemesis!
The gel food coloring also works with shaving cream if you are not eating the eggs or want swirl dye on something else.
