I am a great-aunt, this morning. Momma had a bit of a rough time of it and isn't quite ready for visitors, but I've been getting pics all afternoon. They just sent me a photo of that wide-eyed brand-new baby gaze, giant blue eyes. I think I just melted into a big ol' mushy teary puddle of auntie goo.

And I hope he didn't! I think he passed away not too long ago. I'm a big fan of his books (the one about active imagination, and Inner Gold).

H and I just went to bed bath & beyond for new wastebaskets for the house. Yay! And the cleaning people are coming Monday at noon to deep clean my bathrooms and mop the house. So happy h is on board with that. Before that, I see the surgeon for a follow up in the morning. Also I may call L on Monday to see if she has any time available for me next week, I haven't yet figured out that recent dream and want her input if she's still willing to do one-off's for dream work. Then Tuesday noonish we pick up my mom at the airport. I'm looking forward to her visit, since we had that talk last summer, we've had a much better relationship.

I'm going to try to sleep in bed tonight instead of the reclining patio chair I've been sleeping in. We'll see how it goes!

I upped my seroquel to100 mg last night and is having a slight effect on the functioning of my legs I am feeling less depressed and hopefully over the week til I see my gp again I will be well enough to persuade her I don't need a psychiatric review or a visit from community mental health.
I just wish I hadn't had a sudden lapse into deprssoion when I saw my ex T on Friday and it threw my out.

Don't worry, it wasn't a very good attempt at a joke. My H had a mental list he kept of all the funny things I said. After 20+ years, I think we were up to about #10. Or that could just be his asshole side showing itself too. Interestingly, my therapist says I do have a sense of humor so who knows.

I'm expressing my civic pride by watching the NBA playoffs, a sport I don't usually pay attention to. Some dude's contact fell out and he was looking for it, actually found it, and was trying to reinsert it while the game was continuing around him. I would've been panicking. And I'm surprised he found the thing.

Yeah, I was thinking isn't that thing filthy now? I guess if they're paying you the kind of money these guys make, you better just stick it back in your eye.

I got called a troll on fb because I was attempting to answer a question on a q&a page and got told to butt out a private conversation. I then pointed out it was a public forum and I did not know the conversation was private and suggested they try messenger instead. I got called a troll! Luckily lots of other people pointed out the same thing.

Yuck dirty contacts, I nearly lost my eye because of some child touching my contacts in their case. Imagine being on the floor

I had to push my brain to remember what this reminded me of: i used to tell my t/pdoc that there were SOOOO many things we were in sync on and that was why he should marry me. I saw him for 3 years. At first i was actually keeping score, then i switched to one million and 45 reasons etc. Good times!

I wonder, do you get used to being in prison? Does it become just another mode of existence eventually? Or is it a traumatic way to live with dudes threatening to beat you up or rape you all the time?

I would guess most get used to it. Just like living with continuous trauma, the body adjusts for survival. If not, I would think, especially on the lifers, that they would just shut down and die out of sheer lack of will to live.

Ah, yes, another fight with H because I tried to be close with him and vulnerable... so now at 2am on a Sunday I am going back and forth between my phone and my iPad to see if T emailed me back... not that it makes a difference which device, T seldom responded to emails on weekends and isn’t responding to them at all any more... so I am curled up around my transitional object of T with “Man cat of the house”... the two “men” my husband is most jealous of... yes, he is honest to god jealous of Coal, AKA Big Sexy Man Cat of the House”... it is an 18lb black cat that eats mice all day, comes home for cat food and collapses, knocked out cold in my room every night... sigh.
