Thank you for all the replies about seeing a T when younger. I also think that I would have benefitted from starting when I was much younger, instead of just after I hit rock bottom.

New T A that I found has a session availability listed for the 24th or the 26th of December. I know she is depressed so think it might be a good idea to start as soon as possible, but this is the same T that does offer a free 15 min on her own website but it's not listed on the other platform and if we wanted to email her they'd want it to be through them first.

Think I will wait until she gets back to us because I have already emailed her so we can contact her directly without the need for the middle men. I was reading their rules for T's. She does have to pay them 50% commission for her first booking and then 10% for every subsequent session.

Yeah, it's all people returning stuff/using gift cards/shopping after-Christmas sales.

Nope! Send me a link.

The last video I saw was a fox peeing in a cup of tea left unattended .

I'm leaving for my Christmas trip in a couple of hours. I'm feeling a bit anxious. I threw some clothes in a bag this morning. I still need to shower and grab some toiletries and my laptop and I guess I'm ready to leave. My therapist asked me to leave my "means" at home. I wasn't too happy with that request (although I expected it) because for some reason they give me a sense of control and comfort, but I did tell him I wouldn't take them so I guess I should honor my promise. I hope this trip goes okay.

I hope this trip serves you well, NP. You deserve a break from everything that has happened in your life over the last while.
I am glad you have respected your T's request - please be safe.

I know this isn't the SH forum, but today has been 2 weeks since I last SH. I know I've been in the hospital for 10 days of that, but I've been home for 4 full days now too. I think this is the longest I've gone without SH in a long time. T says I should be proud. I just feel off, like I'm waiting for me to mess up again.

I hope you can enjoy yourself NP.

Maybe you could also take the candle for a comforting smell?

Twenty four hours in and I’m bored to bits. The weekend programming is really sparse here.

My hands are a right state with all the washing and bleaching, so dry and randomly bleeding.

Possible trigger:

I wish T was around but she doesn't do texting and was off sick all last week. I emailed EMDR T who praised me for doing so well and like maybe I dd with son but not since.

Ugh I'm exhausted.

One good thing though is Friday morning my wife had to go to work at 4am and son was coughing and coughing to the point of gagging. I told her to go though and then sat with him til it calmed down and he fell asleep so I seem to be doing that part ok

You are doing the best you can and should be very proud of what you have acheived. 1 day with no SH is still 1 day, turning it into 3,4,5 days is amazing. You can do this

My niece texted me this morning: "Did you know the kitten is missing a foot?" I had no idea. I held her, watched her move around with her siblings, then she scooted under the couch as soon as we got to my niece's. Niece had no idea either until she looked to see if kitty had extra toes.

I'm kind of glad I didn't notice that. As soon as I saw her little face with the white whiskers and white lip I knew she was our kitten. I might have hesitated a bit if I'd seen the missing foot, and I am pretty sure she's perfect exactly as she is.

It's my second weekend ever without the boys at home because their dad's been traveling, and I was pretty sure I didn't want to get out of bed at all this weekend. I am so tired. But my friends knew this was the weekend they're gone, so one friend made holiday shopping plans with me this morning, which got me out of bed, and another friend convinced me to go out with her and her husband tonight.

Still not divorced. But I have good friends. So there's that.

I think I'm getting sick now. Hopefully it's just a cold but I feel miserable all of a sudden tonight. I hope I feel better tomorrow because my parents are hosting an ugly sweater, white elephant party. I already bought my outfit and gift.

Have you seen Happy Valley? It's my favourite TV series. Sarah Lancashire is in it. It is written by a woman and has great female characters, although harrowing in parts.
