I was offered the job at the social service agency. I'm totally stoked about this.

One more week at crappy, boring, low paying job - I think I'll make it

I have decided in the how the world divides - there are people who put a bunch of pillows and stuff on their beds and those who don't. I am watching home renovation shows to get some ideas and mostly I am being overwhelmed by stuff that would have to be moved every night before going to bed. For me, that would last about 1 day before I just tossed it all away. And they put it on their own bed - not just guest beds that don't get used a lot. My guest bed has a giant quilt for the cat that I can take off quickly if someone comes to stay. No decorative pillows.
I don't decorate for holidays either. I may be missing a gene or something

I firmly believe those shows give editorial control to home improvement companies to make you think all those unnecessary things are normal. Also, does everybody really hate carpet that much? It's warmer on your feet and I'd much rather vacuum than sweep.

I consider a back row of shams necessary. My giganto winter duvet is stuffed into a laundry duffel and serves as a side bolster. And of course theres my body pillow. Altogether, we are eight!

I have four pillows on my bed but I use all of them. Sleep on two and use two to support my back and hip as I have back and hip issues so they stay on the bed at all times. And three stuffed animals. Two (both Eeyores) I hold to go to sleep and one (a pound puppy) to guard me while I sleep so no hallucinations can get me.

I actually replaced two of my bed pillows this week with two new hypoallergenic down alternative pillows. They feel great! My old ones were too squished down!

I have two pillows (one for my head and one for my knees), and H has one pillow. I cuddle with L's blanket in my arms. And then 3 out of 4 dogs sleep in bed (the 4th prefers her cage).

Got my dentures today. I hate them. They just don't feel right. Dentist said it will take awhile to adjust. We'll see. I much preferred my partials.

Me too. One fluffy pillow for my head when lying in bed reading, one ancient and beaten down pillow for sleeping.

Heck, I'm an "no unnecessary down or memory foam or padding in mattresses" person. I loathe memory foam and extra softness. I have been known to sleep on the floor when confronted with it.

This makes sense with your no-frills Scott 1000 lifestyle.

I think of it as a survival plus when civilization collapses and there’s only the ground to sleep on and leaves instead of Plushy Tushy.

But you should see my mother. She can sleep anywhere, including, according to my father, on top of a truckload of moving gravel.
