Couch 227 - The Safe Couch

If you didn't complain about insomnia at night - I would think you are a vampire. Or maybe you are complaining about not sleeping during the day but posting it at night to throw us off....

I love garlic. I am an unusual vampire.

But what if I’m not just a vampire in deep cover? What if I’m a therapist?

I think i will have to get new winter clothes as i washed the ones i had in storage but they still smell a bit musty. At the beginning of summer last year i sold the old wardrobe they were in and just threw them in a storage box as i was depressed at the time and couldnt bear dealing with them.

I would try soaking in a vinegar solution and rewashing first.

I am feeling a lot better this morning, had some good realizations during my sleep last night and woke up feeling rested before the 5:15 am alarm on my day off! I've been going through a couple of closets and throwing stuff away/putting other stuff in a donate box. I feel like clearing clutter from my house is also clearing clutter from my brain. I still want to talk with L today about the stuff h said yesterday but I think now I won't be an emotional mess doing it.

Yeah, I know I was just saying the other day how I had $400 left until my next payday.......but I decided to sponsor another child through Compassion International. A 4 year old boy named Nahom from Ethiopia. He is exactly the same age as my sponsored girl....they have the same birthday, month, day, and year. They are from the same Church/Child Development Center. That's why I knew it was meant to be. I share a birthday with them too but just month and day obviously, not the year. I was going to wait until next year when more of my debt is paid off but he is so darn cute, and when I saw his birthday I was like, this is meant to be. So I sponsored him starting yesterday. I've already written him three letters and sent him a birthday gift. Yeah, I'll probably have to dip into savings this pay period but that's okay. Most of the time I won't have this many doctor appointments and vet appointments. He's super cute. I love his eyes and his little mohawk.

I slept but I still feel bad, like really bad. Maybe it was because I watched a weird movie called The Intervention or maybe it was because I spent all this time on Reddit last night and I dunno if I want kids but I know my BF does???

Nah - vampires are fine with me. Therapists, on the other hand, need to watch their step. Plus I wouldn't want to waste my therapist repelling tools on an innocent vampire.

So it's another cyst Only 1.8cm, but the doctor said that size doesn't predict pain and vice-versa. Everything else is normal. He just gave me pain meds and told me to see my gyn. I'm still in pain... Well, at least I know what it is, and it won't need surgery *I think*.

Speaking of hugs. I remember one vacation we were on when our son was little, we were in this small town and in the town square like place, a college student was standing in the middle of the square wearing a big sign that said "Free hugs". So my son and I went and hugged her. H didn't want anything to do with it, but I thought it was cool and wished I had the nerve to do something like that. Offer hugs to total strangers on the street. Can't be doing that during covid of course, but at the time, I thought it was neat.

I just splurged and got a theragun wave roller - it is a little slice of painful vibrating heaven. So much better than my old vibrating roller - the foam is a little softer and it goes for a long time. Foam roller exercises really help my old body move better and it is interesting to me to see how such an innocuous looking thing can be so painful to use but feel so good when it is finished.
