I like that too Kit, the "It's like I have enough stuff, but not enough memories." I have always been the kind of person who keeps every thing, couldn't throw anything away. I did a major purge of 'stuff' before we moved, donated a lot of things that were still serviceable and if it wasn't, recycled or tossed. My new house is staying clutter-free so far and we've been here 2 weeks as of today. I am hoping this will continue, and if it doesn't bring me joy, it's not coming into this house. And I'm also being more about the making memories going forward. I love that. Thinking about you today as you go see the cats! Can't wait to hear all about it. |

Speaking of the making memories thing. One of the best anniversary gifts my siblings and I gave our parents was for their 50th anniversary in 2008, we all pitched in and bought them a cruise. They didn't need "stuff", they had plenty of things, but my brother came up with the cruise idea instead and it turned out to be an awesome trip for them. My Dad didn't want to go initially because he thought it was stupid but I think he ended up enjoying it more than my Mom did. I remember him raving about it after they got back home, he just couldn't get over that you could go eat anytime you wanted 24x7 and not have to pay for it. haha. (He was the type of person who would, when traveling, always take pictures of his food in restaurants haha)

Damn it. I paid to access the online screening of Gabor Maté's new film The Wisdom of Trauma. Every time I try to watch it, I'm not in the right headspace. I think I have until Monday, but I'm worried I'm going to blow it.

My dogs are hard to convince that it is too hot to walk in the middle of the day but that we will go when the sun sets. They are creatures of habit. The cats love the heat but my heavy coated dog doesn't get far from the air vents - he likes to cool his privates by lying on the vents

I cancelled my home phone today, and upgraded my internet modem to a newer one that has a built-in router. (Needed a new router, which is what started all of this haha). The cost of my internet went up since it's not bundled with phone anymore, but I'm still saving $10 a month over what it cost for both phone and internet so I'm happy. Plus, the new modem/router combo has better wifi coverage than my old modem did so that's awesome.

I was the last holdout in my family and of my circle of friends. We just have our cell phones now. I will just give that number if asked for a home # in the future and hope that suffices. |

I think my neighbor just banged on the wall like 3 times after i farted in bed. And it was a pretty small fart for me! Well good luck to them, i had refried beans and rice for dinner.

Would you guys feel okay with going to a massage place at the moment? It's been more then a year since I last went in feb. That plus the gym really used to help me. Dropped gym too. They have spaces for today and tomorrow.
I have just been feeling really bad. I started getting anxiety attacks again and the mornings are the worst. After 18 weeks of no therapy- I emailed Rob last week on Wednesday asking for a session after he sent his last email. He replied on Friday asking what my expectations for the session would be. I don't want the one termination session and I don't feel ready to end. __________________ "Love, like life, flows Through the heart. Feel the thrill of the flow And say nothing." When we were kids we had small paddling pools in the garden that we filled up. in the summer Maybe your dog would like that too?
The last time I was home we did the same for Belle. __________________ "Love, like life, flows Through the heart. Feel the thrill of the flow And say nothing." Last edited by Lemoncake; Jun 13, 2021 at 08:49 AM.. |

I'm really annoyed that a bunch of my friends in the same age group as me have gotten their registration for covid vaccines approved (so they can book an appointment at vaccination centers) but I haven't.
On the plus side, the friend I live with who has multiple autoimmune disorders did change her mind and get her first pifzer jab. No serious side effects so far. |

Lemon, are you vaccinated? I feel like you are, but am not sure. If so, I think a massage would be completely fine and quite safe. What are rules around masking there? It could be that massage therapist and you would both have to wear a mask, which would make it even safer.

I've read their news updates but it doesn't say. I think it would be masks only until the front counter, then maybe not in the changing room. I wouldn't like to wear a mask during it though, as I only have the thicker masks. __________________ "Love, like life, flows Through the heart. Feel the thrill of the flow And say nothing." |

We're the last group to get vaccinated as the government prioritised more vulnerable groups first. |

I decided not to go. The slot would have been at 6.20pm and it's already 5.15pm now and I'm not in the mood to walk more.
