I met my new pdoc - I seemed to click with him and we will work well together, I think. It's tough changing providers after 11 years with the previous one but I moved across the country.

UGGHHHH.
A few days ago I had an interaction with someone that really really triggered me. Pushed all my buttons. (It was not the fault of the other person, though the conversation was a little odd. And a weird very long hug.) It just landed right smack in the middle of my sh$%. I've been feeling really dysregulated since. I haven't felt like this for *years* not since the ex was living here, and I can't quite believe that I just felt like this pretty much all the time for so many years.

I can't seem to quite set myself to rights. This is stupid.

Hey, it pushed all your buttons hard. Please try not to beat yourself up for a very normal response.Couch 230: Decent Communications

I do see what she’s talking about, and will learn from what she said. And also she was objectively rude and can go eff herself as far as I’m concerned.
Glad you're free of her C. Generally the people who go around professing how nice they are usually aren't. Actions speak louder then words.

Not stupid at all WFS. I hope you can find balance soon. Maybe some music would help?

I woke up at 7:00 this morning to a loud, frequent beeping noise. When I asked my mother what was going on...'It's the smoke alarm.'

Luckily, the housing authority sent a repair person out, so now we have silence again.

I've never been so relieved - I've been feeling really jangled lately, and that was the last thing I needed.

Mornin' coucharoonios. H just left on a long distance job, delivering a computer part to Las Cruces, NM. I have the house to myself the rest of the day; he probably won't get back until after I've gone to bed. It's funny we went out to breakfast this morning and he was saying I'm just gonna take today off since it's the weekend and then a few minutes after that they called with the job. It pays like $230 so he was like hell yeah, I'm not gonna turn that down!

No, but it is the site of the worst Chinese food I've ever had. (And no, I don't know why I thought there would be decent Chinese food in southern New Mexico.)

My mom just told me not to buy a plane ticket for December anytime soon - covid cases are so bad back there, they're putting mask mandates in effect again even in places that didn't have them before, and they're at crisis levels again in the hospitals, etc. because so many people refuse to get vaccinated and/or wear masks in her county and surrounding counties. And she said they're also now giving entries into a drawing or something to win $10,000 if people will get vaccinated. And they're still not.

Ugh, that sucks...

And I feel like this is a dumb question, but for your H doing the long-distance drives, does he get reimbursed for gas and mileage in addition to the $230? Or is the $230 just the total he gets? I mean, I imagine it's worthwhile either way, just curious.

My school is also doing lotteries for vaccination at the student level--prizes are free computers, iPads, and dining hall passes for a semester. Given how many of our students are first-generation and/or near the poverty line, this is quite appealing.

Not a dumb question. He's a contractor, so he pays his gas/meals/lodging (if any) out of his pay. So most long distance jobs he tries not to have to spend the night somewhere. And he brings a cooler with ice and water/soda, and for like Phoenix jobs he'll just bring snacks in a lunchbox. For the longer ones like today, he'll stop on his way home and eat an actual meal at a truck stop or something.

We were talking this morning about why he likes this job so much, because it's something different every day. I mean it's all driving, but to different places and what he's picking up /delivering can be anything: a company's payroll, lab samples, medication, medical equipment, human tissues/organs for transplant that he delivers to an operating room, computer or airplane parts, paint, live plants, you name it. He'd heard about this company shortly after we moved to AZ and it was his goal to get on with them. It took him awhile before he was able to but he's been with them for a good while now in fact I think it's the longest he's worked anywhere since we got married!

Need to go grocery shopping but loathe to drag myself out into the rain... might have to set up a delivery instead! Or, just put on a jacket and get on out there anyway.
