That's a standard dose here in the UK too as not everything will be absorbed.

Kit I would also recommend taking a copy of your blood work to a pharmacist and asking for a private consultation if you can't see your doctor at all. They could offer better advice based on your needs.

Thanks Lemoncake, that's good advice! Or I might do a Zocdoc appointment or something telehealth and talk to a doctor that way.

You could also see if your insurance offers anything like a nurse line where you could ask.

Excess iron over time builds up in your organs. so you need to be careful

That scene with kit would be good with Sia's song Titanium playing in the background.

How did things with that shop keeper go? How's the diet and exercise going too?

My T’s are being really wonderful right now during this crisis.

My regular T put a ton of fliers in mailboxes in my neighborhood for me, bc it made me way too anxious. Also, she sent me a card saying she was thinking of me and my cat. Which is really sweet, especially since we’ve talked a lot since he went missing.

My art T offered to walk around my neighborhood on Sunday with me, looking for him.

It is a little strange to me that they are going so far out of their way to help, but both of them insist it is therapeutic because I almost never reach out for help, and never accept it when it is offered.

I know who Sia is, but not her music.

The shop has changed owners. I think the new owners overcharge and dont make change correctly.

I think the old shopkeeper is still around. Its hard to recognize anybody all masked up!

I was hoping for a romance story with the old shop keeper.

Can you get food delivered if you think they're overcharging or only pay by card so no change needed? Your inflation is much higher then ours though. Think I saw a stat that said that more $$$ had been printed in June then then the previous 200 years combined.

That's the Titanum song below. She was good for my running playlist when I used to run.

Howdy Couch! I've been lurking but just haven't had much oomph to do much more. I think I am recovering from grad school. No thinking and definitely no typing after 5:00! Heh.

Anyway. Old man cat update. He went to the groomer. She gave him a good shave and complimented his coat (with a pocket!) and said she probably won't shave him any more. He's getting a little too frail for that, so next time she'll give him a trim and a bath and cut his nails and sand his pads. He's slowed way down and probly has a touch of kitty dementia and he's still demanding and crotchety, but he doesn't seem to be in pain or even uncomfortable beyond having old man creaky bones. So he's still ticking...doddering...along.

I sent my T an email, since she works closely with my psychiatrist and endocrinologist.

Maybe it's a lot of work for her and I should ask for a case manager. I'll ask her how much work it is, since I'm supposed to see an opthalmologist next month. My first ever and only case manager years ago was as good as useless but that's just one bad experience.

My period pain is pretty bad, at least twice as worse than my impacted wisdom teeth surgery post op pain, and I remembered an old GP of mine ever suggesting to see if I have endometriosis.

It's under diagnosed apparently? I found a screening tool and I learned stuff. Either way, I am really tired of the pain affecting my functioning.

I hope you didn't have bad dreams/nightmares last night. I said to T yesterday how Covid is receding, but now we have to worry about nuclear war. He said he knew there was fighting in Ukraine, but didn't think the US was really getting involved. I said true (aside from sanctions), but still there's a nuclear power involved in a war, so the threat is out there.

Also that my college boyfriend's father was Ukrainian (I forget whether he was born there or his father, as in ex's late grandfather, was--I didn't interact with his father much). So it made me think of him--no idea if he still has any relatives there. (If I had some sort of contact info for him, maybe I'd have reached out, but I don't--I know who I could probably get it from, if I really wanted to, but it's probably best if I don't).

Definitely underdiagnosed. A former coworker/friend had it really bad and had to have surgery for it, which greatly reduced the pain. I hope you can find a doctor to help you.

Oh, that's so supportive of them. I agree that it's therapeutic, in part because you're so (understandably) affected by your cat's going missing. Are you taking your Art T up on her offer? I hope you're able to find him. Hugs if wanted.

I would push for an gyne referral as soon as possible. They would be able to tell you with an ultrasound if that's the case and give better pain medications/ consider ablation if needed.

Possible trigger:

Possible trigger:
My last internal ultrasound around 6ish months ago (probably longer ago) by a gynae came back normal so I'm not sure what other tests they can do.

I'll still ask yeah, thanks for that Couch 235: Home State Advantage. I don't want to be fobbed off in case there's an underlying issue.

As the pain is worsening despite a similar light period from hormonal contraception.

The last time (where I went to the private gynae due to the sheer pain) was similar where the pain carried on even when bleeding was light.

It affects my quality of life for sure, even if it's once every few months.

I'm wondering what you mean about vaccination?

One of my friends has PCOS and a "all clear" ultrasound and she told me that her pain is worsening too.

I also think it's nice they are stepping up and can support you right now Velcro. Fingers crossed you hear some good news soon and find your cat.

In the UK they're currently investigating links between menstrual changes in women after covid-19 vaccinations following the large number of reports that have been made to our medicine regulation board. For some women it can take time to get back to their normal cycles.

Stress can be a huge factor and you have been through a lot with your ex landlady.

How long did it take to arrange an appointment last time?

Today's experiment fun is beef jerky. I have never done it this way before. I really dislike getting my hands in goo but I had to toss it all up. Always the pull between fun experiments and not getting hands all gooed up with stuff. I never remember to use disposable gloves.

I also dislike getting my hands in goo. I thought beef jerky was simply dried beef, but if there's goo involved, I could have the wrong end of the stick.

Yeah you marinade the beef before you dry it to give it whatever flavor it’s going to have.

I think my second shot affected mine (and possibly my booster). It may have been coincidental and due to perimenopause, but having read some of the reports of this, I suspect there may have been some connection for me. Plus I've noticed some minor changes after flu shots or other vaccines for me, so I'm wondering if it's tied into the immune system kicking into high gear?

Note that even if it is shown to affect the menstrual cycle, it won't keep me from getting any future boosters!
