My cat was a serial philanderer when he used to go outside. He had a mistress a couple doors down and pretended not to know me if I walked past. It was rather hurtful.

I'm not convinced he wouldn't have eventually moved out if he found a more desirable situation.

My cats were indoor cats until my daughters dog came to visit and it was too much for the cats and me. They do come in at night though.

Well, that's a really good point! It's not like she ran the other direction. I'll think about letting her off the hook tomorrow.

I've never had actual 'outdoor' cats. Stormy would be one if we let him but there's too many wild animals everywhere here that come into neighborhoods at night. We let him stay outside as long as he wants during the daylight hours, and just check on him periodically. But once it starts getting dark I make them come in.

Better yet, ground the husband. He’s the one who fell asleep.

The cat was just catting.

I didn't know the olympics had started already but I saw the tv listing for them.

When it is cold - inherited cat stays in at night. But in the summer he is out all night. He wandered into our yard one day as a young adult cat and then we got him neutered and then he became a giant lap cat who has a tendency to kill other creatures - I don't want anything to happen to him but I would rather him be out when there are not a lot of cars in the neighborhood driving around. Ancient cat is getting to the point where he gets lost in various rooms and yowls. He only goes out to pee and lie in the backyard sunny spots when it is warm. This week he has barely moved away from the space heater or the electric blanket. I set up his own eb in a box he likes to sleep in

I am not watching the Olympics. One of the few things I can do about the Uighur genocide. Admittedly ineffective.

Tomorrow I see L again and I'm super nervous! I want to cling to her and push her away. I hate feeling both/and ****. Like I'm happy for her and mad at her. It's like grinding two rocks together. And it makes me feel like a bad person.

All the hugs if wanted, QM. I'm sorry I can't remember - are you entitled to any assistance in being able to get to a safe place?

Nope. Social worker told me I've done or am already considering everything she can think of, and that I've provided her information on community stuff that she doesn't know. I'm last priority for a shelter as I'm a single adult with a PTSD diagnosis.

Plenty of folks who work more than me end up homeless because they're single adults.

I've friends facing life threatening violence currently who are also dead last priority for a shelter.

On the plus side, I've a job interview for another shift job soon. I was upfront about how PTSD impacts my memory and how I compensate.

As yes, long wait for occupational therapy, and I'm medically certified unfit to work, but I'm attempting to work.

Lmao at Asian boomers glorifying a "homeless for DECADES" elderly person like he chose to be homeless to deliberately build his resilience. And how folks should learn from him lol.

And I rather be homeless than return to my family. And I paid a ton of money each month when I lived with them, despite how they basically think nothing of spending thousands. I'm the only one of their children who's worked consistently.

I didn't go to the hospital. I didn't contract with T--though I have been in contact with her. I didn't go to aftercare last night. Instead I took a drive with my folks (which I find peaceful plus I took some anxiety meds so I was pretty chilled out) and then went to bed at 6 PM and slept until 5 AM (I usually get up at 4 AM). So I got a lot of sleep. I had to go get blood work done this morning for my doctor appointment later this month. So I didn't want to have any SH wounds going on when I had that done. I'm about to take some anxiety meds because my anxiety feels "through the roof" even though I have no idea why. I brought something to SH with to work with me and some bandages just in case. My T said she suspected I didn't need to contract (not sure why as I have been very open with her about how I am feeling) so I took that as a way out.
