I've been on a rollercoaster in multiple aspects of my life since late last year. I got the job, and I'm scared to hope "too much", just in case something else gets bad.

I still have to find a new place to stay but it's not super bad with the person I live with. Things can really change day by day, with so much, and I really want some stability already.

I hope something shifts for you soon, QM. You deserve stability, after all you have been through.

Today's session with L went really good! But I'm struggling with thinking it was all a fantasy or I was delusional. I'm having difficulty trusting her, us, even myself. I hate the adjustment period when she comes back from vacation. And this one has been especially hard because of the wedding.
My brother uses a hot water bottle and I bought him a CBD drink and epson salts for pain. Could you try that?

How long was L's vacation for? Maybe you need that same amount of time to get back in the swing of things.

Do people cancel on her a lot, I wonder? I’m not that lucky a person.
Maybe you could move to booking two sessions for a bit?

No worries, she'll find one.

Lemon, I see Visa every other week usually. She really is that booked.

Also, she is not exactly the definition of emotionally supportive, her support is more intellectual. Info would be better for that, but we're ending and I don't want to turn to her.

Continuing in my search for a new t for when I'm ready to get back into it.... I found one not far from my house that sounds really promising from her website. And she takes my insurance. She's fully booked right now but that's fine because I'm not ready to start again yet anyway. I'll be keeping an eye on her website every now & then though maybe by the time I'm ready to jump in again she'll have availability. We shall see.

I am totally in the mood for a Freddy's burger & fries. Might have to go hit the drive through after I get off work today...

eta: I mentioned it to h just now and he was like ooh that sounds good, so he's on his way to pick it up now.

You might want to check if she has a waiting list so that you know if it's reasonable to expect she'll have open spots. Would suck to contact her when you're ready only to learn 10 people are in front of you.

Long minimum lease periods, and I'm only eligible for ONE shelter which can still turn me down even IF there's a bed. It's depressing that my social worker said I've done everything she would have suggested, so "bye, you're resourceful and I'll close your case. Reopen it if you can't rent a room."

Partner and I are working on me moving over in this pandemic with fears of borders closing again (as there's a new variant of concern after Omnicron)... SO many moving parts.

I got a bit defensive about the job because he initially wasn't thrilled on me working evenings and nights, then calmed down when he said he trusted I picked the best choice out of the available options.
