My D and her bf move out tomorrow just be warned i amy spray my anxiety all over the couch. I feel terrible that i dont really know what to say in this situation i am not good with these sorts of things. At least she is just down the road and another advantage of her moving out is that the ex wont want to visit this house anymore.

Hugs and head nods all around as wanted/needed/appropriate.

Hey has anybody bought a car from that carvana thing? h has talked it over with a buddy of his and has decided now that he's going to buy another car and sell the current one if possible. he's looking at a couple on carvana with prices that he's ok with, it seems pretty convenient that they bring the car to you and stuff and he won't have to schlepp around town to all the used car lots. he's in the other room researching it all now but just thought I'd ask if anyone had experience with it.

Well I was waiting for the Therapist to call me (since they told me that today's session would be over the phone) but when the person hadn't called I called the office and they told me that my session was actually scheduled for yesterday. However I received no phone call yesterday nor did a receive any e-mail from the person with any instructions for a video conference. They told me the person will call me when they have the chance but we will see if that actually happens.

I bought mine from them, and they will buy your car as well. He can get a quote online. I had a great experience.

I do see a lot of their trucks around here they must be popular!

I learned yesterday that some school busses have seat belts now.

Poor BabyManatee has a double ear infection. He's so very mellow that I almost didn't know anything was wrong. His only symptoms were poor sleep and a little congestion. He needs to learn to complain more. ToddlerManatee could definitely teach him a thing or two in that department.

Today I sold my grandfather’s coin collection, which was not so much a collection as a dusty torn box full of various denominations and types, from Liberty dollars to Franklin halves to buffalo nickels to Indian head pennies, sorted into jars and paper bags. It was worth a shocking amount.

Also talking with the dealer as we went over the coins was easily the best part of settling the estate so far, as it brought back affectionate memories of my grandfather.

well we bought the car.... h sure makes decisions fast. I would have worried myself sick over it for days on end if it was me (is it the right car? would a better one show up tomorrow if I wait? etc etc) it's good that we have 7 days after we get it to return it if it's not right. It felt extremely weird buying a car online. Well, to be fair to h he already knew the car he wanted, but still. It has low mileage and is I think 6 years old.

Old man cat update: He went to the vet today. He'd been having a hard time keeping his food down and was looking a little shaky. I was concerned about what the vet would have to say but old man just needed IV fluids and anti-nausea meds. He was feeling better by the time he got home. Vet records show it's been a year since he had to go to the vet, and his weight has held steady. He mostly sleeps in a chair these days, then he wakes up and yowls at someone once in a while, or head butts me for attention.

It's been years since my insomnia has bothered me. But tonight it's really bad. Just shows how messed up I am right now.

I've been growing sunflowers since the beginning of the month. The first one sent out its first little shoot on the anniversary of Steve's death. I kept tending both of them, but thought the second one wasn't going to do anything. Today, on the anniversary of my finding out about Steve's death, the second sunflower started growing.

Wow, he and una have so much in common!

New cat has been assiduously helping with the packing up of the house, though last night she knocked over something intended for donation and broke it, so...

I'm glad that was a good experience, @@. And now you're bringing back good memories of *my* grandfather, who also collected coins and would give me some occasionally on visits. I'm guessing coin collecting is less popular now, with so many transactions being cashless. Less chance of randomly getting a buffalo nickel or wheat penny back in a transaction, for example.

You’d think coin collecting would be less popular, but according to the dealer, no. Like the Presidential dollar coins and the ten-year run of state quarters a while ago before the eagle quarters came back sparked renewed interest.

Stamp collecting is dead, however, according to him, between forever stamps and paying bills online/sending emails. Somewhere in here or the safe deposit box is my mother’s stamp collection.

There are still really neat stamps released fairly often. Although admittedly I use them rather than collect them. Except for the heat-sensitive eclipse ones a few years ago. Those were too cool to use on mere envelopes.
