question: what are we allowed to talk about in here? are there any "banned" topics in this thread?

I don't think there are any banned topics, at least not that I can think of. You can talk about your life, your therapy, whatever you want! Enjoy!

Glad you had a good session today, or at least back to normal, LT. L never voluntarily mentioned what she wrote in her session notes, but I did ask her out of curiosity at least once, and she showed them to me. I wish I'd asked to see my whole folder/all of her notes before we ended. It was a thick folder, she had it out every session so I saw from a distance regularly. Her notes at least the ones I saw were very brief so I am assuming she printed out all of my emails and put them in there too, including all the dreams I emailed to her when we were doing phone sessions.

Still haven't heard back from the Therapy office. I have an in-person Psychiatry session scheduled for next Friday so if I do hear from them by than I will mention it to them.

I asked a previous T once if she was writing anything bad about me in her notes. (Yeah, I was probably paranoid at the time.) She assured me she wasn't and then started reading aloud what she had written. I suppose she could have written something bad about me and then made up something neutral to say but that probably wasn't the case.

I was just thinking about it, as usually happens on Fridays between 1-2pm my time.... in 7 days, it will be 6 months since my last session with L. I still 'talk' to her in my head every.single.day at least once, most often at night when I can't sleep. I'm curious about how long that might continue, I suppose time will tell!

Just saw that it's 104 degrees F here today! Scorcher. Gotta go to the grocery store, will probably wait til it gets dark. That time of year starting again, where everyone is night owls!

You're a bit hotter than us. It is currently 100 degrees F right now. The last few days have felt really hot.

Then again, I was wearing long sleeves for two weeks because my bosses were here, and

so today is the first day that I have been wearing short sleeves in two weeks.

My sister is coming down next week from Central Coast, CA and she is going to be like, it's too hot! Turn on the AC! And we will be like, the AC is already on! She is not used to this heat even though she lived here for the first 21 years of her life! She has gotten used to the milder climate by the coast.

Thanks, Artie. Eek, if Dr. T prints out all my emails and had them in my folder along with any session notes, I'm probably taking up a substantial portion of a filing cabinet. Now that I think about it, ex-T said she printed out my emails and kept them in my folder, and mine to her tended to be quite a bit longer than mine to Dr. T.


I am curious as to what else he puts in his notes. He doesn't usually take notes during session (he did on occasion virtually), but said he writes stuff up later. Not sure I want to know though!

I think so. We've been isolating all week from eachother. He's pissed, I know that much. He yelled at H yesterday and today.

I have these weird bone tumors in my mouth, they are benign, but sometimes they hurt like heck. Right now one of them is threatening to poke through the gum. (Sometimes they develop sharp points.) I have had this happen a few times before and it is very painful. I have had some of the tumors removed but they just grow back so it is a rather pointless and expensive cycle. But this one is really bothering me.

Last year i learned about ?rolled pennies. Apparently there are machines all around America that dispense them.
Eta they are called pressed pennies mainly sold at tourist sites i believe. The person on the video was too excited to have found one he really wanted he did not make a lot of sense

Its so lovely to be able to turn the radio up to a louder volume without waking up my D and her boyfriend. At last i have room for the bookcase and buffet i want to buy. I can move the books off the dining table and be able to eat at the table again.

well carvana just earned their first strike from us. they just pushed out our delivery by 4 days. H is not happy! We're going to call them and try to get the delivery charge waived.

I have a decent collection of pressed pennies. My aunt and I loved to go to the zoo together, so I have a bunch of them from various zoos with animals on them. You can even buy little albums to display them. Here's a website with locations and examples.

And a good rule of thumb is to put trigger tags around anything that might upset others.

In the continuing War Between the States - yesterday somebody on tv said, to disparage Arizona, "Its like Florida, but its a dry heat."

The joke being, humans dont suffer as much in a dry climate as in a hot and humid one. But that Arizona was also becoming known for Florida-type antics.

I always get one when I see one of those machines. I didn't know they made albums. I just keep mine...somewhere. I don't actually know where they are right now, but they're all in one place.

I'd say to avoid stuff that's particularly political, as I've gotten posts deleted for that (I'm more careful now!).

If you're at all in doubt about adding a trigger warning, better to be safe and just add it.

I will say, I still don't understand the policy on not saying goodbye in the forums if you're leaving. And threads getting deleted about that. Honestly, I'd rather know that someone is opting to leave as opposed to just wondering what happened to them, if they're still OK. I know they can PM people, but just a post saying, "Hey, I'm going to leave the forums" seems fairly harmless?

You were once a moderator, @@, can you explain why that's a problem? (or can anyone else) I mean, I know there are general memes about people not needing to announce their departure, but is there a particular reason for it?

Dad does not have covid yet. I don't get to see L next week either because of this.
