So glad he is okay!

I actually collect coins. I mostly get the same ones every year, the Britannia, some Australian coins, etc. My oldest coin is from the 1700's. I also like to collect 2 dollar bills and silver certificate bills when I can find them.

Congrats on the new car! My car is 5 years old and has 26,000 miles on it. I could sell it and get a good price, but then I would have to get a new car and start over with payments. Yeah, not ready for that! Hope you and H enjoy the new car!

I recommend reading about Grandma Gatewood if you are looking for some inspiration
(Grandma Gatewood - Wikipedia) - there are a couple of recent books about her life by Michele Houts and one by Ben Montgomery. And there are some youtube videos about her and some where people try to recreate her tools for walking the App Trail.

My bosses who were visiting either went back to NY or went to Las Vegas, so work should be so much less stressful today. However, I have very little to do. I am so tempted to go home early but I am taking next Friday off so I don't want to look flaky. Overall I think the visit went well. I had some good conversations with my coworker/supervisor who I don't get along with well so we hopefully will have cemented our working relationship a bit better.

For some unknown reason, I feel like talking to my T today. I don't even know why. Like I'm not in crisis. IDK maybe I just miss her or just want to process the week or something. I know I can text her but I probably won't. I will just wait until session to talk to her.

I'm glad he's feeling better! My remaining old man cat is going to be 15 in August. He spends his days mostly sleeping (moving between the couch, the ottoman, and our bed) but still enjoys going outside every evening after eating.

My son had a great interview and they offered him what he wanted, so he accepted the offer! I'm excited for him and for his gf too, this will be a big adventure for them. The company is going to fly both of them up there this summer to start checking out housing and then they will be moving after that. I'm so very proud of him. It will feel very strange him living so far away... thank goodness for Zoom of course. And airplanes. But I will be fine. At first I felt a little sad but you know, my excitement for him kinda overrides that...

Artie, congratulations to your son! It is always a good thing to hear when someone is achieving something good in their life. I know it will be hard for you having him be far away but you are one proud mama and I'm happy for you! HUGS kit

Yikes....two of my in real life support people are going to be gone for two weeks, they are going to Israel. I am a bit nervous about not having them to rely on for when I am struggling!

Aftercare was okay last night. We didn't have music therapy because the music therapist was out and then the other therapist/facilitator who does the second half of the program usually but who did the whole program last night has Covid and he was not feeling well and then he couldn't get the video to work so we ended up doing process questions and we got out about an hour early.

I'm so bored today at work. My day is 5/8ths over but it feels like it is going to be an eternity! Doesn't help that it is a Friday and I know I am off the next two days. I got a lot of work done when the bosses were here so now I am out of work to do!

Hugs, Kit. I understand how that's stressful. Is there someone else you can rely on for support during that time maybe?

Yeah, I still have one friend, and my parents--though I don't always tell my parents everything that is going on with me--and I will have my therapist who says I can text her whenever. I usually don't text her but I know it is an option at least.

I was talking about my feelings around stuff with D today in session. Dr. T said he'd written a word in his session notes about it (maybe the first time he'd mentioned that?), regarding what I seemed to be feeling: "Despair." Me: "That's a good choice of words." Dr. T: "Thank you!"

We then proceeded to talk more about it, but his "thank you!" amused me. Things feel more back to normal with him now after the recent rupture, just in how we're interacting and how I feel sitting in the room with him.

I'm glad your session with Dr. T went well today. It sounds like you felt more connected to him. I'm sorry you have been feeling despair though. HUGS kit
