This is a chatty thread. All are welcome. We're kind of psychologically oriented, sometimes. We try to be supportive. At times we discuss what that means.
It’s a place to plop down on the couch when you come home from work or wherever, or wake up in the middle of the night, or check in at lunch, rant a bit or not, and be among friends.

We advise you not to drink or drug and text your therapist ("T") - we speak from experience.

Sometimes the thread moves fast and you might get overlooked; sometimes it moves slowly and all you hear are crickets. Sometimes you get hugged or thanked pages later. So if it's a bigger question, you might want to start a new thread.

Grab a cushion, a spot on the floor, or an armchair in the corner and make yourselves comfy!

I moved back into my house in early November last year after moving out for a month for repairs and I've unpacked about 5 boxes so don't feel bad. I'm sure if anyone coming into my house knew that, they'd think I was insane, but no one comes into my house, so at least there's that. My therapist knows I've unpacked 5 boxes though.

Eta - they finally quit showing that disgusting febreze commercial where first the dog sets his junk on the sofa, then somebody puts their face down and takes a nap. Nice!

I would encourage the opposite, the more you try to stop thinking the more it the more it pops back up. The main thing i get from your post is your unease at going back to therapy after you said you were quitting.I don't think she's judging you but I think you're judging yourself for not being done yet. You guys talked about all the ways you had changed in your previous sessions- why would she go back on that?

I would suggest writing it all down on paper and writing out a "response" from her to help calm you down.

I have decided to paint the stars and the galaxies by hand because I suck at the splatter technique i have been practicing all afternoon and it sucks.

Ts are used to people quitting and coming back. Some patients do it on a monthly basis.

I have done that, haha, flooded my eyes with saline. I hate when they get stuck on the other side of the eyeball.

I love my cats but lately they have been super needy. I typing this with a cat draped across my forearms and the ipad perched on my knees.

Im glad to see things are back to normal in our id box, and that we can again trust the "theres a new post!" hiliter not to be the stupid one we just posted.

Eta - Ah - i spoke too soon.

I get to catsit two giant Maine Coons next week. I haven't seen them in a while, and I'm pretty excited. Though any time I try to get work done, they stretch all over my computer and my papers. I think, "There's an entire house to stretch in. Must you trail your excessive hair all over my one tiny corner of the room?!"

Good morning couch. Going to a funeral today and meeting a coworker this afternoon so our kids can play together at a park near the office. As much as I'd rather be home with the a/c, it won't kill me to go outside. Hope you all have a good weekend!
