ever since the second grade i have been falling in love with my teachers. My first crush was on my princepal, in elementary school (in 2nd grade) i always used to say to my mom, i'm going to marry Mrs. Barbarra! Obviously, she is not going to think anything of it at the time but, then the next year came along, and i fell in love with my third grade teacher, Mrs. Chemen. She was nice, sweet, funny, and beautiful. Then I didnt have any crushes in fourth or fifth. Then sixth grade came along, I fell in love with my teacher mrs. dunn., then seventh, mrs. straub, then eight, mrs. anderson, and then ninth, mrs. ondich, and NOW tenth, my new family school therapist at my new therapustic school: miss fritski. She has been so helpful, nice, caring, understanding, sweet. She's beautiful and looks like she might be in her twenties (shes young) on top of it. I dont know, but ever since i started that school in October 2005, i could NOT get her out of my head, sometimes, i try to get her attention at lunch becuase shes the lunch aide at the time too. Its Saturday now, and I couldnt stop thinking about her ALL DAY. When our school had our dodgeball tournament on friday, i couldnt stop staring at her across from our gymnasium. Whenever i see her in the hallway, i smile, because i like her alot. falling for my teachers... I even remember the perfume she wears everyday, it smells so good and fits her perfectly falling for my teachers... I never felt this way about ANYONE in my entire life, until now. Whenever i think about her or see her in school, my stomache turns into butterflys. Its crazy. I dont know, I cant get her out of my head at all, since i woke up this morning, she's all i have been thinking about today and yesterday. It sucks too, because, i'm in high school AND I'm a girl. heh. She would NEVER go for me, who knows if shes gay anyways. This sucks for me. I know I'm just going to end up losing her anyways, I mean, she's a staff member there, she would NEVER want to risk her job and go out with a student. lol. Although, i can't get her out of my head, i feel like she's inside of me. I need advice, please.

I think I'm in love.

Hi dp,

You remind me of how I was around your age. I had a crush on my art teacher, called 'Miss Joy' which I thought was an apt name for her. She gave me a lot of joy!

From your post I would say that you are a healthy young guy, and romantic too. Unless this is really upsetting you, I would say that having crushes on female teachers is quite normal.

Near the end of his life, one of my uncles was in hospital and he was getting crushes on the young nurses who looked after him. I think his romantic nature helped him through some difficult times.

Yes, your post has really cheered me up!

Good thoughts, M

Dear Dpad,

You sound very NORMAL to me.... as a mother of two young men, I would have to say that many males fall in love with their teachers and the same for girls and their male teachers - it is LIFE calling unto you all..... but please beware and do not let this infatuation with a figure of authority rune any ones future, especial yours.

Hey,

I think dpadilla is a girl, not a guy!

Take another look at her post and her profile, if you don't believe me.

hey there, you're going to be ok. you're still so young.. oh, boy, it's been about 6 years since i was in high school, and i was just like you. even after high school, i fell for an older man, (although i'm not gay, i do seem to be attracted to men who are a bit older than I) now, it's getting much better. i've since learned why i tend to be attracted to older men, and just like you, especially ones who have some type of authority or wisdom to offer such as teachers. it's like you think you might feel safe with them, but trust me, you don't, once you get there. yes, i've been "there," and it's constant anxiety about getting caught, and him/her losing their job/reputation. as you grow a little older, things will get better. i'm sure being gay makes it all that more difficult though. i'm sorry you are so confused right now. confusion sucks....: ) do your friends know? you can definitely find a lot of advice and comfort with the people who come to this site, so keep posting. also, at least, you have a motivation to go to school everyday. : ))sometimes it's hard to wake up and get going. one more thing, do you move around a lot? possibly, you're trying to anchor yourself in one place by developing crushes?? i think i used to do that because i felt so out of place. i was painfully shy.
k, be well, and keep us updated.

aww, thanks for your post. falling for my teachers... a few years ago, sometimes still today, i have been going out with guys just to impress my mom and everyone so i can hide it. i went out with all guys that were older then me too. one guy i have been talking to for 3 years online and decided to meet, he was 27 i was 14. heh. i sometimes still talk to him today, but never see him after my mom found out. lol. some of my friends now know, in my new school only. (alot of people there are gay/bi too.) Anyways, i have been trying to get out more also to meet new people and 'look' lol. And yeah, i admit i do see some i like, but she...is ALWAYS on my mind, all i can think about. I never felt this way about ANYONE in my life before. heh. idkk, i never been in love like this before. falling for my teachers... falling for my teachers...

Ooooops - sorry for the misunderstanding, my bad. Now with it all cleared up can I ask? - does your family or friends know of your sexual preference (or) do you still keep this part of your life a secret? And if you do still keep it a secret - WHY is that?

heyy there,

its npnp at all. falling for my teachers... my family does NOT know my secual prefrence. Some of my friends at school now, and its not really a big issue i think cuz at my new theraputic school basically a good amount of people are gay or bi or straight. heh. and i keep it from my mom--because i dont exactly know how shell react to it. Especially since shes usually mad at me most of the time in my life lol. i dont know what to say, people told me before tell your family when your older like in college around 18. But, i want to date, ya know? idkk what to do at all. someone told me on here to maybe even tell my family therapist (who i am in love with) at family therapy. But she might get uncomfortable and my mom might not take it all that well, idk. thanks..

I understand.... we are all fearful, at one time or another, of not being loved for who we really are - therefore we cont' to live our life in a fascade.

Hi Deb,

Gosh, I muddled up your gender. I feel a bit foolish.

You know, I identified so exactly with your post that it just happened. I guess there is an indication there that when we get the feelings, the feelings are universal.

I really like that thought.

Good thoughts, M
