I feel so lost - again. My wife is off for another weekend with the girls, I am here with my dog and cats, who are wonderful companions, but not really great communicators. I thought when we reconnected after 20 some years my new wife and i would really have a great marriage, but it doesn't seem to be working, or maybe I just had too great of an expectation. I don't know what to do next. I will be 56 next week and should have gotten my ADD and depression under control by now but it doesn't seem so. I am just another lost soul. I am not looking for sympathy just someone.

i'm sorry that you're feeling down tonight.

do you have any hobbies that you can indulge in while the wife is away? read? t.v.?

were you sweethearts and then separated and got back together? that sounds romantic, i'm sorry that you're feeling blue about things right now....

keep posting. lots of good people here to talk to......pat

I read constantly, try to exercise everday. Cleaning the house and washing clothes has become the norm for me., I am not really down, I just believe that there has to be a better life somewhere, somehow.

Hi there -- Like Pat, I agree that this reunion sounds romantic.

When you say, "off for another weekend with the girls," how often does she do this sort of thing? Did she do this when you were courting, or is it a new behavior?

So sorry you're feeling down.
