ive gotten lucky to always find guys who like a girl with some meat lol.

my ex said "when im with a girl, i dont want to feel like im going to snap her in half." he was about 6'3'' 230 lbs so he was a big boy. and plus, i might weigh 160 lbs but none of that is awkwardly proportioned. i have curves in all the right places and i agree with 50guy - stick chicks are kinda gross to me. i also dont get how girls that are just muscles can be attractive. that takes away from everything feminine and everything that makes us women.

we make babies!! were supposed to have some added padding! and if you work so hard to lose that then you lose everything that has traditionally made women attractive. i think there is something to be said about a woman who can keep her curves and not only accept them but be proud of them! I wish I could say to my boyfriend "Im beautiful."

50guy - also sounds like you like the short ones? lol. i'm 5'9''. ive only ever dated one guy taller than me.

Ok - while I do want to support you here I too find it hard...... for a female at 140 pound and 5' 5" is NOT over weight by any means.

May I ask what your gf weighed when you first met her and what you weighed then and now?

Thank you,

BTW - I am only 5' 2" and at 130 pounds I look GOOD!

This is bringing back memories for me of how about 10 months after my first baby was born, I visited a new doctor and he told me I really had to work harder on losing the weight I had gained for the baby. I was overweight, he said, plain and simple. Well, it's true, I was carrying more weight than before I got pregnant, but I didn't look or feel awful. I weighed 137 and was 5'5". I felt so bad he told me I was overweight, even though I guess doctors are supposed to tell you that. But it started in me this avoidance behavior with doctors. After that, I didn't want to see doctors anymore because of this experience. I know that's dumb, but to this day I am very reluctant to seek medical care for myself, and it all started with that doctor visit.

(((( HUGS )))) - overweight girlfriend

I am sorry and mad that your doctor made you feel bad about your self when there was no need for such a comment - for you being 137 pounds at 5' 5" is not over weight and as a medical doctor he should have known better.

This is where the media, music videos, adult materials etc is killing the beauty of the average female.
.... for only 2% of females look like the images we are forced to see (day after day after day).

Champion, at that weight your girlfriend is at a perfect weight for her height (if your guess at her height and weight is true).

And what does she think about her weight? Does she too think she is overweight? If she is overweight, does she herself mind?

A few months ago I too was slightly overweight (I have eating issues, kind of) and I hated it and I especially hated it when some one I know took it on themselves to point it out... it was none of their business. So the weight of your girl friend is none of your business either. If she wants to be overweight, let her be. Only if she's finding it distressing should you help her. Trying to make her go to the gym and do this and that just to lose weight would put me off too, if the same thing was happening to me. Your judgement about her weight may not even be accurate. Women have different body shapes. Like some other people on this thread have said, perhaps you could see if there is some other friction between you and your girlfriend which is causing this tension over the weight issue.

I really dont know what to say here..but I kinda thought all this was funny, so I had my wife read it.

She is about 5 ft 2 ....I asked her. How much do you weigh about 120 ?...she got mad and said "what" do you think I am fat, heck I guess'd thats what she was but she only weighs 109,and trying to get to 105 after 2 kids, but I really don't care if she did gain a little weight ...she is real sensitive about this subject though...so I thought it would be nice for her to see, that some men really care about weight....I could care less though if she put on 10 more pounds, and was a little nicer ...instead, lol

just kidding, she is nice ...how about your girl is she a b**ch
sometimes, or do you just think she is over weight ?

cute coralproper.... lol. Too bad a few extra pounds couldn't bring with it an improved disposition. I'd be on a high fat diet tomorrow if that's all it took. 10 more pounds of niceness please..... lol.

109?! at 5'2'... average weight should be like 130!

i hate it when guys think that the ideal weight is really like 20 lbs lighter than normal. people look at me and think i weigh 120. and while its a sweet comment its totally rediculous. i dont get how guys expect women to weigh so little and still want them to have an *** and boobs?

if you want your girlfriend to be a total stick, then yeah thats kinda fat. but if you want her to be NORMAL, then thats average or even a little small. im 160 and i dont even care who knows anymore because i have a damn hot body. and if some guy thinks im too fat at 160 then i dont want him anyways. overweight girlfriend there are plenty of guys out there who like woman with some meat on em. overweight girlfriend

plus i have already warned my boyfriend. i said "look at my whole family. they are almost all bigger people. are you ready for that?" and he said yes so i saved my own ***! lol

she does weigh 109 big boobs, nice *** and all...I quess'd she weigh'd 120, so she got right on the digital scale and showed me how far off, I guess I was

She works out here at home though and is diet conscious for the most part....I don't think she was over weight even right after giving birth

her aunt is a actress and model though and at age 50 looks in her late 30's..she never had kids though and has had plenty of plastic work done, she is actually my little girls god mother and they all (wife included) seem to think she is the best ...but she has never been able to hold a relationship and is soooo obsessed with looks and how one talks walks etc...that it is a turn off to me...but she is good in her own way I quess, but I don't want my kids/wife to be like her..but it is a driving factor I can see in how they feel one is to act/be, want to be..nothing I can do about it though

wow. some people are just blessed i guess.

my dads side: skinny, tall, blonde hair, blue eyes, tans easily.... very german lol

my moms side: big, short, brown hair, cant lose weight at all.

im tall, red hair, green eyes and used to be skinny as hell. i started pilates the other day though. im on my 4th day and my abs are killing me! lol. i dont want to be a stick, just dont want to be flabby lol

my sister is 5'3'' and weighs 5 lbs more than she did in high school even after 3 kids. she obviously got my dads side of the genes. me on the other hand... i got all the leftovers. like genetics was just sitting there and went "well... were 4 kids into it. the first ones all had blonde hair, blue eyes and her sister and brother can eat anything without gaining weight. so lets throw them a curve ball!" seems to me like no matter what i weigh im always the same size though. can't change my rib cage and hip bones so even if im 120 lbs i still wear a size 12. oh well. i guess most women would kill to be able to say "god... these pants don't fit over my *** but theyre too big around my waist." and i usually get hit for saying "dresses are too small on my boobs but huge around my waist. girls usually look at me like "shut the hell up" lol.

congrats to your hot wife lol

I think you folks all have something to say here and I certainly appreciate your thoughts, but you have hijacked the OP's thread.

Champions initial thread is regarding what he can do to help motivate his girlfriend to eat better and get more excercise.

Whether or not we feel he is right or wrong in how he perceives his g/f is one thing, but many of the posts have taken away from his issue as posted.

Please feel free to start a new thread regarding your ideas of weight and how it plays into your life and relationships.

At this point I'm asking anyone who wishes to address the OP's questions, please feel free to do so. Any other posts that are not directed to the OP should be iniated in a new thread. And please folks, regardless of how your feel about the OP and his idea of fat or thin, remember this is a support site and our responses should be respectful and supportive even if we disagree.

Thanks so much for your understanding!

ok..I will try to be honest and help you here

# 1 tell her how hot she is...with perfect timing

#2 Make her so in lust for you that she wants you so bad she chases you around the bed and does atleast half the physical work in there with passion (great exercise)

#3 become a great chef that can prep meals that she likes and the quanity is not so much a issue if she desires more, since they are sooo healthy

#4 NEVER make her feel fat
this will just depress her and make her less motivated in my opinion

#5 tell her what a hottie she is ....again with perfect timing

# 6 repeat #2

unless you are a dime piece yourself with a great personality ...and you can get her wrapped around your finger so tight with lust for you that she worships the ground you walk on ....you will not motivate her to do anything in my opinion with your current tactics

and even if you were...heck that will wear off over the years
and you'll just be plain old you to her, after kids etc...which is when she will be the most vunerable to stress from criticism...under stress from a family.

I am giving you honest advice in my opinion and just trying to help you here dude

you will motivate her way faster to want to do stuff with you by making her feel hot than not.....make her feel like you think she is Gods gift to you and you are the one thats lucky to be with her

just look out later if it works...& you start having puppies none of this will really matter anyway...she'll have you by the b***s and you will be the project but probably in another way....in my opinion

but if you still want her to be hot ....you better keep making her feel hot first & foremost....if you make it that far

Swimming is great exercise ...fun and good to do together, get a tan....flirt around...make her feel like a hottie

I don't know what there is to do around where you live or might could give better advice on activitys

myself, I don't care for hiking or biking but love to swim

and in my experince those partners who get there partners to loose weight are so controlling the relationship ends up all onesided let her be ask her what she would like to do
get her to choose the activty show her some support and compliment her once in a while
