Hi, i've just found this site and have spent the morning reading some of the posts. So helpful!! The reason I was searching for sites like this was because I'm having huge trouble in trying to make my own relationships last... I meet a girl, things go great for a few months, then I'm not interested and break it off, go back and see if can we try again (which we usually do) and then keep going around in the same circles until eventually she's sick of me.

I've come to the conclusuion that I've got emotional, communication and self-esteem issues that I need to work through and I need to consider some therapy. Before that though I would like to try and get a better handle on what's happening here, what can I do to get out of this circle and improve myself ? Would anyone be able to recommend any books that would get me moving in the right direction ?

There is a book that invites you to look inside of you and appreciate you better. It is called "I'm not much, but I'm all I have".

I would suggest you talk to a therapist one time, just one time, and see how you feel, you'll know then if that is what you need to do.

I do not know any books, but I recommend continuing to post here. Sometimes the best way to find what you are looking for is from others.

That's a Courtney Love song which sounds like me. And maybe it sounds like you.

Joining these forums has helped me big time in realizing that I needed therapy, and so I went for it and what a difference a month makes.

Good luck.
