Here we go again. I just don't know what is is? My moms respitory

therapist comes to the house and checks up on her. She has taught

me how to do all the treatments the nebulizer, fill the O2 tanks,

administer her treatments. She is a fantastic woman. The only

thing is she is like 21 years younger than me. She knows my

back ground with dating and relationships because she has seen

some of my pictures and collages on the wall. She keeps asking

me if I want to go out got to lunch sometime. The only thing is

she's 21 years younger. Where ever I go younger people are

attracted to me. Once in my life I only dated one person my own

age. My first wife. Everyone else has been like way younger than

me. All of legal age of course. My last relationship of 10 years

with somone was 10 years younger? I think 21 is a big difference

But I hear that is the trend these days and its not such a big

deal anymore. She knows I have had some mental health issues in

my life, I made a point to tell her right away.

Anybody like to add anything about this. Its been 5 years, and

I haven't even been looking???

Thanks Much All..... 5 years since my last relationship

I believe age is just a number,,,,this woman sounds good if she didn't object to your mental health issues...I'm dating someone14 yeasr older and it's working...........some people for one reason or another find certain ages recurring...it's like luck or fate......

There was a 24 year difference between my grandparents and they made it work. My grandpa had been married before and had children older then my grandma. I am not saying that it can always work, just letting you know it can sometimes work.

I don't know that going out for lunch is necessarily starting a relationship. And why wouldn't people be attracted to you, ziggy! You listen, are kind, and pleasant to be with.

I had a relationship with a man 20 years older than I was. Sometimes, I think, it could have to do with having had good male role models your age. My father-in-law and I were good friends and liked the same music and "stories" and humor.

I think it depends on what you like and want; my father-in-law wouldn't let us celebrate his 80th birthday with a party because he didn't want his "girlfriends" to know how old he was! He had 2-3 of them, use to make his grandsons call him "uncle", etc. 5 years since my last relationship But he just liked going out to dinner and dancing and having "companions" it wasn't about sex or living together or anything. Some of the woman would want to get married (this was in Florida) I'm sure but if a woman got too serious about him they'd break up. He had one woman who would come vacation with him from New England, a widow in her 50's. Another was a great dance partner (hard to find in 70+ year old/age-appropriate women? LOL).

Maybe this will be a great lunch partner for you? Check it out, ziggy.

Hey ziggy....my husband is 21 years younger than me! Even though our marriage is ending...it was not for lack of love, compassion, appreciation, passion or that we didn't enjoy many of the same things. We got along great for the most part and had our trek not been so dang difficult and hard to keep the hope going, I believe we would have had a wonderful life together.

Going out to lunch is not a huge thing....time to get to know one another more....become friends.....discover likes and dislikes. If nothing else...you may end up with a great friend 5 years since my last relationship

ziggy...I think the first thing you wanna ask yourself is do you want this?

So what...there's an age difference...I personally like the older men because they're not afraid to be a real man. They have better values than most younger men. And I agree...there's no harm in dating someone much older or younger than you as long as they're of legal age.

If you're ready for going out for lunch with something, then by all means do it. But if you aren't feeling comfortable with it, then you don't have to do it. It's all what YOU are comfortable with.

Take care.

(((ZIGGY))). The past is what keeps us from sseing the present. You should go to lunch and then go from there. If it is not something you want after going to lunch then you can address that then. Take care. I hope the best for you and your future. Soidhonia
