So this is my experience of ET...imagining our traveling the world by ship, train, plane and having sex in exotic places. Her quitting her job, coming into my space, adapting to my life rhythms which are foreign to her, sleeping in my (our) bed.

Implicit in this would be absorbing her into my home, life, social circle without regard to her life and career. For me, that romantic obsession + selfishness = erotic transference.

When you listen to the same voicemail dozens of times.

When I started therapy and started to have feelings for him, I would do dishes and daydream about him and wash my hands with this soap afterwards! Now its associated with him in my mind. Its a very weird smelling soap from TJ's, but I kind of like it now because of this

When you can't stop fantasizing about having sex with him

When you're shagging your husband and he pops into your head. Very disconcerting!

Novelty ties suddenly seem kind of hot, not "Welcome-to-Chili's" dorky...

He does't just pop into my head. I bring him up on purpose and every sensation I feel during sex, I imagine I am feeling from T.

To be fair I have a policy of stroking anything in corduroy, think I'd loose it if my T wore 'em.

Glad not everyone gets hugs. My T has said he wont hug me, but we've held hands, we sit leaning against each other, I've held his arm and we've kinda nuzzled. But no hugs. Was beginning to take it personally (Especially after Christmas seeing every other T hugging clients as they left.)
