well, I had to go get my breast biopsy this morning, and it went well - wasn't sent home this time for almost fainting - no poisonous ammonia to breathe in. Ice packing every two hrs. That's my exciting day.

Don't forget, it's the therapy and meds that help to feel better. Without them, life's a lot harder.

I was hypomanic about 2 months ago for about a month or so. I went to partial hospitalization because I was having a rough time functioning, and needed to see a doctor immediately. Anyways, got put on Geodon and it helps my psychosis but I've been depressed pretty much ever since. I also started college and am in the process of moving out of my mom's house, so I guess I could have some underlying stress. Either way, it sucks. I hate being depressed. I see my pdoc tomorrow at 3 though so I guess she'll be able to help me. I've been considering going back on lamictal since I appear to be all over. I dunno.

I hope you have a good visit with your doctor, TaterChip and that you get a good med to help with depression. I'm amazed that you're only taking one med. I have to take 4 - Depakote, welbutrin, lamictal, and Seroquel. How were you diagnosed BPD - I was given that diagnosis a long time ago, but no longer. I think I should still have that diagnosis.

A little bit more of the paranoia and grandiose thoughts this week. Otherwise, doing ok. Good sleep, thanks to Lunesta. That's important, because without sleep the symptoms get worse.

kind of confused about whether to post on roll call or check-in on this forum or schizophrenia forum or both? Diagnosis schizoaffective but can relate some to both.

Thank you the visit was okay. She just up'd my geodon by 10 mg. I still feel crappy but I'm very impatient. Actually I was on a few. Lamictal, Zoloft, Wellbutrin and Latuda. I stopped taking those though because I'm a stubborn s.o.b. and hate taking medication. I'm starting fresh with a new doc and everything so she's trying to go slow and with as little/as few medications as possible, seen as how I've randomly stopped taking them about 4 times now, regardless of how good I felt.

As for the BPD, my old psychiatrist had brought it up, but I'm not sure if she ever properly diagnosed me as it. My therapist is in the process of updating my diagnosis by adding BPD because she is in agreement. However, the first official diagnosis I heard of about it was at the partial hospitalization program. (cause you see a pdoc in the first week).

Anyways, I hope things are going good for you Even though you're on a few meds, I'm happy that you've found a combo that works for you.

My pdoc wants to add depakote to my regime of medications. He says the side effects are so many you would probably not want to take it if you read them. He says you get tremors and stomach aches. I said well I already have jiggly eyes and I have ulcerative colitis so that's no good. I told him maybe I'll do just fine on my one hallucination per month. He laughed because it's his job to get rid of them.

Doing good, although I am upset because in the past few days I've found out both my Therapist and my pdoc are leaving to work in different clinics. I really liked them too.

Still doing good, I have group on Tuesday, getting a new tattoo Wednesday, appointment with my new therapist and then group on Thursday. So, I have a pretty busy week. Nervous about the new tat and meeting my new T. Hopefully both things go well.

Not doing too well the last couple of days. The demons are sending messages in the leaves. And the ghosts keep watching me. I haven't seen them for years. Now they're everywhere, and I dont have an appointment with my pdoc for 2 weeks. He always gets me something to make them all go away or at least quieten.

SillyKitty, can you call your pdoc and tell them you need an earlier appointment? That you're in crisis? Having episodes?

If u can I figured out that imagining buttons dials and knobs linked to what I was seeing or hearing and turning it mentally helped. You can also focus on your optic nerves and eyes and use your mind to pull away from it. Once youve had success it gets easy.

worthit - I've been on Depakote for more 15 years. It's a good med. It can cause weight gain, although I've been really thin on it in the past too, either through lots of exercise or wellbutrin. I think Seroquel is a bigger weight gainer. One thing that it will probably cause is sun sensitivity, but sunglasses and a hat help. Another thing you should know is that if you get off of it, it is less likely to be effective if you go back on it - or at least you may need a higher dosage.

Blue Bird, I just had my first appointment with a new psychiatrist, after seeing the same psychiatrist for 12 years. It is scary. I still don't know if I chose right or not. I hope you will have a more certain feeling than me that he or she is right for you. Good luck with the tattoo. Are you scared of the pain or scared of how it will turn out? Sorry for probably asking a repetitive question.

Today, I'm going to see if my doctor will give me something for anxiety for these other doctor visits I'm having to have. I had to go off my birth control for them, for some reason that I don't understand, but this morning I had to get a morning after pill, and it cost $50! I was shocked. I found out that these birth control injections take affect immediately, so as soon as I can I'll get one of those. I don't know what I would do if I got pregnant. I love kids, but having one would be a catastrophe. The power of sex - completely over rides any common sense! It's really quite scary.

Terabithia have you thought about Mirena? It works immediately. And it lasts five years! I can't take pills or shots, so it works well.

Hi Terabithia, thank you And I'm more scared I'll have a panic attack and start shaking during it. My first one went well, but that was several years ago.
