on another note. garbled speech in schizophrenia isnt always word salad. they just showed something on the news about the colo. shooters incomprehensible writing. BUT they showed the others in the USA like loughner and the VTech shooter ETC. and i actually watched those videos on youtube. they say their speech is "garbled/incomprehensible". WHICH IS TRUE. IT IS. you can understand someone and they still have disorganized speech.

Thanks for this. I never knew other people had some of these issues or that there was even any name for them.

I have blocked speech a lot. I don't forget what was said but it's like I forget that there was supposed ot be more to the sentence. I've never known anyone else with this. My friends laugh it off sometimes but mostly ignore it. I didn't even know i did it till people pointed it out. At fist I thought it was just a one time thing and then I discovered I id it all the time (like multiple times a day when I have lots of social interaction). I'm still not sure I've ever seen anyone else do this. I also have flight of ideas. When I do I don't realize it's happening until someone asks how did you get to there? And then I can go through this giant train of thought and connect the two but how my brain automatically went from one end of the train to the other, I have no idea. The only other one i have I think is pressured speech. I will usually stop if a person interupts me and it only happens when I feel really strongly about a topic or am very upset or anxious about it.

Does anyone else here suffer from any of these? Since it's on the net I'm assuming other people do, I've just never met any of them.

the thing is im sick of people saying because i dont say "cows green tree park" im not ill. see i GET THAT FROM PEOPLE I TRY TO CONNECT WITH EVEN SOME THAT HAVE MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES AND IM SICK OF IT.

i suffer from flight of ideas and blocked speech too.
i also suffer from circumstantiality - tangentiality - illogicality.
also semantic and phonemic paraphrasia which was thought was a speech disorder but its part of this s**t.

other ones too which i wont go into atm. i intentionally refuse to overanalyze myself out of fear.

i have something funny too on another note.
my dad saw me drinking once and said "you shouldnt be drinking with your condition".
i was like "my condition?!?..."

and then i was like "ohhh..."

i thought he meant i was sick like physically. i said "im not sick!?!" he pointed his head down and looked at me. then i understood what he meant.

on a side note. im unable to see SZA as "sickness". in me. i frget about it a lot. i mean i frget im "sick" - you see.

to me im well.

Some shootings are government mind control, like the Batman movie was, I feel a bit sorry for him.

i'm interested what you think the "certain means" are that the shooting is supposed to get the US to? what is the intended outcome, do you think?

to ban guns and get the next president to have a favourable outcome by the public or so because he appealed to those who want to ban guns. you get more support from idiots who see a big event like this and scramble to ban guns. to me guns dont kill people. people who want to kill people - kill people. guns or no guns involved.

i don't think there is anything that would ever cause americans to give up their guns. and gun sales have increased as a result of shooting. the only thing that's really been proposed in terms of control is a tighter hold on the sale of assault weapons like AK's.
but anyway, i agree with you that people who want to kill other people will always find ways to do so - with guns or without.

pres. obama has stated that ak's belong on the battlefield only, but that's the only type of gun control i've heard him say much about.
some people are saying that holmes is faking mental illness in preparation for an insanity defense, but personally i haven't seen enough to have any sort of opinion on the matter one way or the other.

Can we not talk about the shooting on this thread. I've been trying to avoid posts on this lately, it upsets me and I just want all the media and posts on it to go away. I know people need an outlet but can someone start a new thread on here if you want to continue the conversation or go to the news media section... I'm sure there are already topics started there on it.

this is the ONLY forum i can come to where at least 1 person will read what i have to say. and it becomes less and less as time goes on. but i dont understand. i give detailed experience stories here (most dont) and i site sources. im trying to give credible worthwhile posts like anyone else. but more so. every other forum ive been too when i post something people post right over it like i said NOTHING. KUREHA is right. people get ignored in forums just like real life. online means NOTHING. NOTHING. nothing if these people in reality are just getting on a damn computer. the only fake thing about online is what some of people say. its the SAME people in REALITY getting on a damn computer. and im NO EFFING FOOL. and NO ONE can play me like that. im just saying that right now. kick me out now or later if you want but it doesnt change the fact that we are ALL STILL HERE in reality dealing with the same types of people here thats "out there" and no one can run and NO ONE can hide.

dont get me wrong but i appreciate everyone who gives me the time. everyone knows who they are. this is the only forum that gives me the most time.

you are certainly correct that the same people that are online are also in reality. i don't see that anyone here is treating you like a fool, but i also know that just because i don't see it doesn't mean it's not there. i'm sorry if i haven't understood the situation correctly. i do try, even if i don't always get it right.

I prefer this forum - I don't go on any others - my nurse doesn't know about this 1 either.

I appreciate that replies to my posts - they are dealing with their own stuff - but taking the time still, so it's nice.

sometimes it makes me sad if i don't get a response, but i also know sometimes people don't really know what to say. so i try my best not to take it personally. this site is great in that usually if i'm patient at least one person will say something back.
