BUT I HEAR THEM. so yea. i thought it was ghosts recently but idk i dont think it is. idk. its usually a man and a woman. in their 40s. both caucasian. i can tell by the tone and stuff.

i don't usually hear crowds of voices, but i hate it when i do. i don't like hearing new or unfamiliar voices, but i am so used to the recurring ones that they don't usually bother me. i think i would be lonely if they went away. even though some of them are mean. some of them have been with me since childhood.
do you ever see your voices? like do you ever see the man and woman whom you hear all the time?

i used to hear a voice named jesse. was my age. i saw him a few times. he would take over my body. he was with me for about 2-3 years then he left. idk where he went. he just said he had to go one day and he left. i also weirdly was getting better then. then when i started falling part again i saw him once more - homeless - smoking a cigarette by a light pole around midnight. i never saw him again after that.

I spent the night crying under my desk because the Olympics opened this night and . . . . holy ****ing police state, Batman. There are still helicopters outside, and police on the all over, and machine gun and and and. Please make it stop.

I have a neighbour who lived through the Sarajevo war and she can't take it either. For her it is like being back in the war zone.

I think about you every time anyone mentions the Olympics on the news. Stay well.

i see two of my recurring voices regularly, the others rarely. i also see other things repeatedly, like birds. all kinds. i had a recurring vision i could see but not hear before, too.

i have these a lot. i just dont know where they come from. just anything violent. even me dying.

Yeah, we had the introductory show on last night. I think we turned it on around the time ... hmm ... can't remember which country was parading in. I know I saw Hungary. And I missed Botswana. So somewhere between B and H. Oh! I just remembered I saw Ghana, because I remember he explained that it's a country in West Africa. Typical American audience wouldn't know that. But then they probably don't care either. I don't think I saw France. So probably starting in the G's and going all the way down to the end.

No, now that I think about it I did see China. Wonder how I missed France?

Oh, well, all the smiling athletes waving their little flags. The word that kept leaping to mind was jingoism.

Why does the human race always divide itself into factions of various kinds and try to best one another other? Maybe if I had any interest in sports at all I'd see it differently?

Oh, and when Rwanda came in, the announcer said something about that little unpleasantness they had a few years ago (not his exact words, but they were something almost as bland). But, he assured us, that's in the past. Can't have any ugly genocide discussions ruining the fun! Not sure why he mentioned it at all. It just made me wonder immediately which ones were Tutsi and which Hutu.

I don't know if you got the BBC commentary or something else, Costello, but the BBC commentary on the Athlete's Parade was horrific. I think they managed to mention every single genocide in the last 100 years except those directly perpetrated by white people.

There was a twenty-minute bit in the entertainment part that was all about the National Health Service, though. I liked that, because it was a big "***** you, David Cameron", and also because I think Mitt Romney was in the audience. And Queenie was in a mini Bond film with Daniel Craig!!

Oh, and we had the teletext on . . . it was pretty miserable for the English bits, but when Jacques Rogge came on and spoke French, all it said was "[He speaks in French]"! HA! Never mind that for his speech, I was all like . . . [She speaks in French] FERME TA GUEULE!!!

lol... No, mine was an American station. Yours sounds worse than mine. Most of it was just fluff. And they kept complaining about how fast the countries were going by. They didn't have time to share all their interesting info.

The South African team, for example, has an athlete who had to prove her gender (if I understood them correctly) and another with prosthetic limbs which were officially ruled to not give him an advantage over other athletes.

lol... I heard about that on the radio this morning. A bunch of nurses on a bed?

Ha, they specifically sped up the athletes because that is the boringest/longest part!

The woman is Caster Semenya (she was also carrying their flag) - she won a ton of medals a few years back in distance running, but then the awarding body stripped them from her and said they had to test her gender first. It was pretty disgusting.

A bunch of swing-dancing nurses and sick kidlets jumping on illuminated beds while a Voldemort made out of one of these:
Roll Call Take Two
wandered around. Obviously the theme of the ceremonies was "Britain's salute to MDMA".

I have a new kitten. She bites toes whenever she encounters them. I'm thinking about naming her Gout.

An artist's rendition of gout:

That is quite the rendition of gout! I do hope the kitteh is slightly more adorable than that, though I do approve of the name

that's terrifying. i'm sorry you experience this.
i've never had anything quite like this, but i did for awhile keep seeing different people and places on fire. the worst part was that i had to train myself to stop reacting to it, and i was worried there might be a real fire somewhere and i wouldn't do anything to help.
also i see what i call "skitters." these are kind of like lizards, although not really, that's just the closest i can think of. i don't think they live in this dimension because they're really hard to see. they kind of flicker and skitter in and out of our space. dunno.

I keep my shoe-deodorising spray right next to my hairspray. Don't ask why, I just live in a small space. I'm also quite visually impaired. So . . . I just sprayed my hair with shoe deodorising spray. Yippee.
