They're scared for you, and it's coming out as anger. The knife thing's not a good idea, Kureha. That's why almost everyone you talk to pushes back against it. Think about how many people - including people you really trust like your old psychologist and your pdoc - have told you to leave the knife at home.

I'm really sorry you don't feel safe, but the knife's not the answer.

Alone, that organization I mentioned is here: Latest news

I see the membership directory is password protected. I found a list of pdocs here, I'm sure. I think it was difficult to find the list before too.

ETA: Here is it, under the US regional group: http://www.isps-us.org/membership_main.php. Are you in the US?

ETA: Sorry. I see you're in Canada. They don't have a Canadian group listed.

ETA: There are two Canadians listed in the USA group's membership directory: http://www.isps-us.org/membership_ma...country=CANADA

I like my son's pdoc because he's not all completely caught up with the pills, but he's not anti-med either. Either extreme bothers me.

One old research article, though, actually suggested using cod liver oil to fix problems with feet and legs. And no one is saying buttermilk is harmful. Other people are using it - even with chicks.

I don't know what to do. I hope they don't all end up crippled.
Sorry to hear about your chicks, costello.

Is there someone that you could ask for what causes the curled toes? Perhaps even getting advice from a livestock vet?
Thanks for this!

Thanks Costello - I talked to the police about it - they said to leave the knife at home and call 999 if anything happens - that's not going to help if they are involved they won't come.

I'm just screwed.

Saw my endo this past Wednesday and he said he is not completely sold that what's causing my high growth hormone levels is from my antipsychotic, but my research says that pituitary tumors are sometimes treated with dopamine. My antipsychotic decreases dopamine. I mentioned that dopamine is said to keep growth hormones in check. He replied, "yes and no", but went on to say that it's up to my discretion whether or not to come off my AP and try Lamictal. He also said that if there is a tumor it has to come out. Great.

I'm scheduled for an MRI this coming Monday.

Thanks, cyber. It looks to be riboflavin deficiency. There are only a couple of things that seem to cause the curled/bent toe thing in chicks. The one that matches most with the other main symptom (they're resting on their hocks and not moving around much) is the B2 deficiency. I'm going to supplement with B2 and see if things improve.

How much B2 would you have to give them? I'm thinking you would have to start out high then taper back when they show improvement.

Is there something like an RDA for chicks/chickens?

I don't know. I put some liquid infants' vitamins in their water plus some yeast in their food. And I bought some different food. I'm not trusting the other brand I was feeding them at this point. Plus I gave a drop of the vitamin directly to the most crippled of the chicks. I may give a drop to some of the others too.

hope everyone is having some sort of good holidays. its been either sleeting/snowing or raining nonstop here in Tx. sucks.

i no longer have any money in my bank accounts. idk what happened. i mean i know i spent it but idk how i did that. im gonna have to wait til my next check to get more funds in.

IV (Off-label)
May be needed for ICU delirium; 2-10 mg initially, depending on degree of agitation; if response inadequate, may repeat bolus q15-30min, sequentially doubling initial bolus dose; when calm achieved, administer 25% of last bolus dose q6hr; taper dose after patient is controlled

I dunno what that means like 25mg a day

Tourettes disorder; 0.5-2 mg PO q8-12hr initially; if severe symptoms necessitate increased dosage, titrate upward to 3-5 mg PO q8-12hr; if patient remains inadequately controlled, daily doses up to 100 mg have been used (safety not determined)

I'm taking risperidone. I'm on 1mg...for one month now. Should I be worried?

No one knows long term. It plays down the frontal lobe of the brain. Thats a low dose but people are different. You should be fine. Thats my dose but i dont like taking it. I complained of being tired on 2mg. like super tired.

Society has come a long way in using meds instead of removing the frontal lobe of "crazy" people.

No offense to alonewithmycat - but I find roll call 13 to be titled too intimidatingly to read. I will try to get over it, as I realize I am over reacting. But I just wanted to say so as an fyi.
