How long can mania last? I'm going crazy. I don't feel comfortable in the bipolar forum so I'm asking here.

If my thoughts don't stop racing I don't know what I'm going to do with myself. I feel like screaming. I think I might be mixed but I'm not sure.

I guess I'll hop onto google and see if I can find anything about this.

I think there are so many variables when it comes to being manic and then depressed I've seen it last or cycle every day, hour by hour I've seen some be manic for just a short time, some be manic for 6 months out of the year it's hard to tell.

I also know people get triggered into a manic episode which I think is very interesting and I'm speaking from experience here...

There is no short answer I guess it's different for everyone I'm sorry you're going through this atypical. Hugs

I think it can be like a psychotic episode. There are often a lot of similarities. I'm only speaking from my experiences, everyone is different.

Is there any way that you can channel all that energy and anxiety into doing something Atypical? When I get that way I usually do a lot of my art and it turns out really, really nice.

It's actually the only time I get any real work done. What can you do to get rid of a lot of that nervous energy?

Doing art actually sounds like a great idea, thanks for the suggestion.

I know what you mean, I'm pretty similar. Very restless just by nature. I have a hard time being still for long unless I'm writing or otherwise actively doing something. I'm not the type of person that can just relax in front of the tv for example(never mind that the tv talks to me anyway, hahahaha).

I see a lot of that in Bean.
Restless, cant even sit through a movie, just always up and down. Never sitting at rest.

Trying to find a hobby or interest is hard too because its hard to stay focused.

Im opposite. I will focus so hard on a project for hours and not know whats going on around me. HOURS!

Channeling that energy must be very hard for you. Thats why I try to suggest walks.

For you I think you need to be doing something physical some type of physical work. That would probably make you feel better.

Like working outside raking and doing some type of gardening.

Physical work. Bean loves to stack wood it gets her nervous energy out.

I think, I think , I think , that's all I ever say but I'm just trying to make some suggestions for you ...I'm trying to help. Okay I'm rambling now...lol

I'm sorry it scares you. Most of the time I just try to ignore it but I get that not everyone can do that.

Are you taking your meds every day as scheduled? That is important.
